Strike Witches S2 Ep 12- Flying Girls Forever!

Okay! The final episode of Strike Witches Season 2! I am not going back to Ep 11 as most of you have watch it or read other blogs about it so to keep a long story short...the story so far, Mio realised that she is losing her power after knowing that her sword-Reppumaru is a energy-eating sword. The witches and the allied forces are to began their attack in taking back Romanga which is still under the Neuroi and the secret weapon was the battleship Yamato which was fitted with a Neuroi Engine. The Yamato managed to reached the surface of the Neuroi but it was infected and was turing into a Neuroi.

Ep 12: Mio immediately rushed off to reach the Yamato as she was the only one with remaining magic left. The others could only watch as Mio entered the Yamato's engine.



Mio started the engine and fire the cannons



A huge explosion occurred and everyone thought it was over.

Suddenly the Yamato appeared with a large Neuroi Core behind.

Mio is trapped unconscious and the Neuroi is using her magic to create shields and destroying the fleet.

Yoshika then remember about Reppumaru's Ultimate Skill-Shin Reppuzen and know that the sword is still on the Yamato's deck.Yoshika know she has to do something and took off in her Striker Unit. She tried to hard to reach but there were too many enemies.

The Calvary is here!!!

The other witches motivated by Yoshika joined in the fight and cover Yoshika to reach Reppumaru.

Yoshika pulled out the sword and head straight to the core. Mio shouted her to release Reppumaru or else all her magic will be gone. But Yoshika head straight and smashed the core.

Yoshika and Mio started to descend to the ocean and Yoshika's Striker unit and Reppumaru fell into the ocean as her magic is gone The other witches caught hold of them and cheered for them.

After the aftermath, the Strike Witches were offically disbanded and everyone went back to their lives.

Yoshika returned back to Fuso where she was recieved by her mother and friends. Yoshika began to work at her family clinic and the last shot was Shin Den and Reppumaru wash ashore on a beach.

A great ending for an under rated show! When the first season came out, many were speculated if it was a cheap thrill to have girls flying in their underwear but it was proven wrong and a great finish to that. When the second season started, everyone wondered can it make a second time and the makers proved them it can be done again!

The story although has a few fillers like the beach episode and a funny episode about the bug Neuroi which fly in everyone's underwears. However it proved that a show that tried not to take it too serious was awesome and will be loved by people who just love good story telling and interesting characters.

Will there be a third season as the final battle indicate June 1945 which is like the end of WWII in alternative universe. Only time can tell but for now our Witches can rest for a job well done!

P.S. I know some of you are wondering where is Strike Witches Ep 11 review? I will be doing both ep 11 and 12 together as it is a two parter and the finale of the series. Valkryie Chronicles 3: Unrecorded Chronicles (I just got the 2nd one and they have a 3rd one!?)

For those who own a PS3 know or play Valkryie Chronicles will know that it is a sleeper hit and one of the best SRPG game even for this generation. The 2nd one came out in PSP and many fans will upset as they are worried that the game will go downhill however with a new system and class changes, it was good for a sequel!

Then coming next year...Valkyrie Chronicles 3: Unrecorded Chronicles will be coming out in PSP again!

From what is known, the game take place between the first and second game and it focus on a Galia team named "Nameless" Look like Lia is already an awakened Valkryie and using her powers to fight with the Galia team and Iruka is a heavy gunner and she look badass with that heavy machine gun of hers.

Grado looks like the cool and calm leader, different from Welkin's intellect mind or Avan's hot blood attiude.
I could already sense a love triangle with the two girls and Grado..probably have to wait for the tralier to understand more details...  

Ryu ga Gotoku-Of The End (What the hell is going on!?)

I like the Ryu ga Gotoku Series aka Yakuza for the fun exploration and kicking butt without getting caught. Enjoy a large of mini games which are hundred times better than any of the GTA series, I love it a lot!

So when SEGA announced the six installment of the series and it is titled-"Ryu Ga Gotoku-Of the End." I was thinking is this the final chapter? Will Kiryu able to get away the blood shed of the Yakuza for good?

Then the announcement came in the latest Famitsu Magazine....THIS!!!!

What just happened? If you are thinking of the latest installement of Resident Evil, then you are in the wrong game!!

Ryu Ga Gotoku just got turned from kicking Yakuza's butt to kicking Zombies butt!!!

 

How the hell happen?! I mean fighting gangsters in suits is one thing but fighting the undead is really outrageous!!!

Okay, maybe the makers decided that enough of the normal day life of a big city, let's try something different. One of them is probably a George Romero Fan and suggested "Hey, let's make Kiryu kill some zombies instead!"

The idea was taken and this is it. From using your fists and kicks to using heavy machine guns and bad ass rocket launcher! I mean this is something Capcom will do for their Resident Evil Series!

All right, enough of the nip picking just by looking at the pictures...for me, I don't mind having something different for a change and who know, maybe I will like it when the trailer come out.
But anyway, those who are still fans of the series will be happy to know that the hostess are still around...

We have finally come to the end of Round 1. Round 2 will start on 14/09/10.

Round 2 will pit Miki Noda of Genjitsuka Art Class against Yachiyo Todoroki of Working, Yuno Hidamari Sketch. The next group will pit Takamichi Nanoha of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha against Mayoi Hachikuji of Ghost Story and Kana Ikeda of Saki.

Saber plus Rider equal 3DS! Saber Rider Return!

If you are those kids back in the 80s, you will tune into this show during the weekends-SABER RIDER AND THE STAR SHERIFFS. The opening lyrics already say it all and yes, they are coming back on the Nintendo 3DS!

Some of you super robots fans might know that this is Star Musketeers Bismark. A Japanese Anime in the 80s about Space Sheriffs who kick alien butts. It wasn't popular in Japan but when World Enterainment Productions (The people who brought you Voltron) adapted it with some cool rock music, it was awesome!

The Japanese version had Shinji AKA Fireball in the America version (The guy in the red suit) as the main character but in the America version, Richard (The guy with the horse) was renamed Saber Rider and not bad to pull off such a stunt. Although why did the producers did it, it's anyone guess.

So coming next year, Saber Rider will return and with a complete DVD series coming out soon. Maybe we will see some new adapations of the show like Voltron?

Poplar of Working and Tsumugi of K-On went to the next rounds. I was disappointed that Kotegawa Yui didn't make it. She was ranked third behind Rena and Tsumugi, well, there was always next year when Season 2 of To-Love-Ru start next month.

Kamen Rider Ozu Ep 1-Kill a monster and get 1000 Silver Coins! Aka Talk to the Hand!

This is my impression of the new Kamen Rider Series-Kamen Rider Ozu. Our new hero, Hino Eiji is a wanderer like Inu Takumi but he carry only a few coins and a spare boxer shorts. Not really the hero type but let's see what he got.

The story begin with Eiji working as a security guard in a museum and after being drugged by his fellow colleagues, they began to steal the museum artifacts. A giant chest was opened by a floating hand?! Yes, the hand named Ankh released the seal on the chest and four monsters appeared. A group of masked bikers tried to take down the monsters but were defeated, save one.

Eiji woke up in his boxer shorts and was shocked to see the police in the museum.
After answering some questions from Shingo, a detective. Eiji left the place and in the midst found a gold coin with a red eagle emblem on it. Eiji accidentally drop the coin under a vending machine (Which is actually the Ozu Bike). He tried to pick it up and Ankh got caught underneath.

Lady! Put down the Vending Machine!

A lady named Hina misheard Eiji's cries and she immediately lift the vending machine. She scream when she saw Ankh and fled. Eiji was shocked by Ankh's appearance too and ran away with the coin.

Aliens-The mummy version?!

Ankh began to search for Eiji and the four monsters who escaped (Called Greed by the mysterious boss of the masked bikers) were looking for Ankh. One of them went to a jewellery store and slot a coin into a woman's head. (This is weird!) A mummy like creature came out of the lady and started eating all the jewelleries. The creature turned into a praying mantis like monster and started attacking people. Shingo and his partner chase after the monster and in the chaos, Eiji was shocked by the monster.

Shingo and his partner were knocked unconscious. Eiji tried to stop the monster and was flung away. Ankh caught hold of him and place a belt on Eiji's wrist. He instructed him to insert the eagle coin with two more coins-a tiger and a grasshopper.

Ozu make easy job to the monster after inserting a mantis coin. He saw Ankh merging with Shingo and his hair turned blond! Shingo's cell phone rang and it was Hina. The mystery man bake a cake and named it Ozu...

Look, my new fashion statement-Creepy Hand and Blonde Hair!

First it was cards, then USB sticks, now coins!? I kinda of laugh at it when Ozu damaged the mantis monster and coins started spilling out of it. It reminded me of the Dragon Quest Sword Wii game where you equipped this item and coins were start spilling each time you hit a creature.

The Greed monsters are Imajins except that they don't ask for your wishes and just slot a coin in your head. Wonder which is worst? A imajin entering your body or a coin slot in your head?

Eiji, not really Shotarou or even Tsukasa. He is more modest than both of them and given his carefree character, he is more closer to Hibiki except his first appearance is appearing in his shorts! The mysterious man who make a cake while singing "Happy Birthday".  He is creepy like Kagami's Dad from Kabuto.

Overall, not a rider kick appeared. So I will see how it goes for the next episode...

Strike Witches Ep 10- Coyote Wild

Let my witches go!!!

Mio was practicing her sword and blast through the ocean. She felt disappointed and mumbled "It's inevitable." Meanwhile Minna proposed an operation to free an Island occupied by Neuroi. The higher ranks told Minna that they were to bring a Foreign Witch to join this operation.

Hanna Marseille. A top Ace from the Storm Witches stationed in Africa and former teammates to Erica and Barkhorn. However Barkhorn don't see eye to eye and got into a small scuffle with Hanna.

The operation which required two witches to enter a heavily defense fortress was explained. Erica volunteered to join with Hanna and they began their training together.

During the training, Hanna pointed her rifle at Erica and play a fool with her. Minna decided to punish them for insubordination and the two girls were made to sleep in the same room till the operation begin.

Hanna was determined to prove that she is better with Erica and compete in everything. However she lost the bust size to Shirely...

Erica found Barkhorn snooping outside their room and Barkhorn want Hanna's Autograph for her sister. Hanna rejected it and Erica bet with Hanna to give her autograph after the operation end.

The operation begin and the two witches destroyed the Neuroi with ease and it was a tie.

They began a dog fight with the rest watching. Finally both of them ran out of bullets and it was a tie again.

Face Off!- The Moe Version

Hanna was ready to leave when she passed a signed photo for Minna to pass to Barkhorn.

Erica tried to clean her room but give up after two minutes...

This episode is not bad with Itou Shizuka (One of my favourite Seiyuu) playing a self centred character which I like a lot. Erica didn't really care about winning and all she want is the war to end so she can go back being her slack self. The dog fight was cool with the Opening song (instrumental ver) behind it.

The next episode is the prelude to the final battle and Mio is feeling uneasy...

Strike Witches Ep 9 - Treasure Island (Witches Style)

Perrine was helping around the rebuilding of Galia when a small girl brought her to see a broken bridge. The bridge was destroyed by Neuroi previously and the girl's friends were unable to go to school which is on the another side.

Later, the witches began to attack a Neuroi and Yoshika was able to use Shin Den freely. When the Neuroi damaged a bridge, Perrine was furious and managed to reveal the core. The Neuroi was quickly destroyed and the girls returned back.

Perrine was still feeling down and in her room, she even consider of selling her family heirloom-A rapier to rebuilt the bridge when Yoshika broke the news that they are going to the beach tomorrow.

It's Swamp Thing in a Bikini!

The witches were enjoying their R & R except Yoshika, Lynne and Perrine who are training in water survival. After that, Luchhin found a treasure chest and she informed Yoshika, Lynne and Perrine who tried to bring up the chest. Perrine used all her strength to bring it out and after opening chest after chest, a small map was found.

Best Shot in the Season! Wish I can kiss both of them...

The map lead them to an underground cave and they began exploring it. The other witches realized that they have not returned also followed suit. After getting doused in wine while saving Minna, Mio became drunk and kiss Mina in the lips. Mio went amok and ran into the cave.

Perrine and the others found a room with a statue sitting on a throne. The statue began to move after Lucchin played around. Perrine found a rapier and destroy the statue. A door was revealed and in it was a garden of herbs and spices. Perrine was disappointed but Mio who was sober already, told her that the best treasure in the world is her friends who care for her.

Later, Perrine recieved a letter and a photo of the repair bridge was in it. She was more motivated to defeat the Neuroi. The last scene was Minna sitting in the beach, sulking herself...

Hey Minna, Want to sing 'Fly me to the Moon' with me?

A episode which the Neuroi are not the enemy, overall the only selling point is the kissing scene.
Next Episode is about Erica and Barkhorn and 500 shot down...

Naruto 508 - The Death of a Shinobi

Kisame broke free of Yamato's Jutsu and created a water prison surrounding him. He recalled how he first met Itachi in Akatsuki and told him that they are very alike. Both have killed families and comrades and Kisame started explaining of how shark pups cannibalised each other to survive. Itachi said that those who betray their comrades are destined to die terribly and when the time comes, they will know what kind of person they truly are.

Kisame summoned sharks Jutsu and the sharks just tear him to shreds until there was nothing to left. Gai Sensei say that Kisame died as a true shinobi. They began to open the scroll which Kisame was planning to give to Akatsuki but it was bobby trapped and a shark jutsu took the scroll into the ocean.

Meanwhile Konan was cornered by Madara who demanded for Nagato's Rinnegan...

Bleach 418- Aizen, you talk too much!

As Aizen began to loath at Ichigo for he could not sense any reiatsu on him, Ichigo remain calm and unmoved by his words. They began to clash swords and their sword waves cut a hill into two behind them. Aizen laughed and thought himself that he still couldn't contro his own strength after transforming. Aizen try to attack Ichigo again with his sword but to his surprise, Ichigo blocked his sword with his bare hands. Aizen couldn't believe it and used a Kido skill-Black Coffin to destroy Ichigo.

Ichigo immediately destroy the coffin and told Aizen in a cold voice.. Ichigo was the one who cut the hill into two not Aizen and slash Aizen in the body.

Aizen has become more arrogant which is expected from him after claiming that he reach a level more powerful than a shingami and a hollow. Of course, our hero has a trick up his sleeve and remember, if he can cut a hill into two, what else do you think Ichigo can do?
