RIP Kamen Rider Stronger! Actor Araki Shigeru passed away at the age of 63.

I just received news that actor Araki Shigeru has just passed away at the age of 63 on 14/4/2012. He was best known as Kamen Rider Stronger/Jo Shigeru. He died due to pneumonia after battling esophageal cancer and his immune system weakened. On his bedside, his wife, Noriko whispered to him that Kamen Rider is cool and he nod in agreement. He subsequently passed away after that.

RIP Araki Shigeru- 9/2/1949 to 14/4/2012

I don't really watch much Kamen Rider Stronger episodes as a kid but when the advent of Youtube and DVD appeared, Araki is one of the few riders who can be both a badass and a lesser of a jerk than Tendo Souji. Ever though he fight for justice, he tend to break the rules and dash into the battle without fear. But being a Kabuto type Rider, he is tougher than the rest and having electricity as his element gave him the edge.

I probably will find Kamen Rider Stronger shows just to see more of him and being the last of the original seven riders, he stood out as the one who lead them into the climatic battle against Grand Colosseum Leader.

Let's recite his entrance speech in memorial of a great man and a great hero!

"The heavens call...The earth cries out...The crowd roars...All calling on me to strike back against evil. Now listen up, villains! I am the champion of justice: Kamen Rider Stronger!"

Long live Kamen Rider Stronger!!!! The Legend will never die!!!
