Next round is Ranka Lee of Macross Frontier take on Seika Houjouin of Princess Lover, Kurumi Erika of Heartcatch Precure and Sakura Moutou of Fate Stay Night.

The other group is Miyanaga Saki take on three newcomers-Kanata Sorami of Soro no Oto, Sawako Kuronuma of Kimi no Todoke and Elis Toudo of Seitokai no Ichizon.

Will Ranka's song cause them to stop her opponents from fighting?

Boobs Physics? Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspectors Trailer

Angel did it again!

The results for 28 Aug Saimoe Group is out and Asami Iwasawa of Angel Beats and Rima Mashiro of Shugo Chara make it to next round!

Next round will be on the 30 Aug and Group E pits Kyon's Sister of Haruhi Series taking on Aoi Yamada of Working, Himeko Tachibana of K-On and Ogasawara Seika of Taisho Yakyu Baseball.

Group F will pit previous semi finalist Hinagiku Katsura of Hayate no Gotoku take on Mafuyu Shinna of Seitoka no Ichizon, Chise Umenomori of Mayoi Neko Overun and Miria Mackenzie of Jewel Pet.

My money is on Hinagiku! Go! Hina!!

The results are out for today's battles...Lisa of Sacred Blacksmith and Evangeline of Negima make it to the next round...both of them are not human...

Strike Witches S2 Ep 8-Grant me Wings

This is a serious episode and when you see there is no opening song in a show, you know that it is a good one.
Yoshika has been unable to control her power recently which results her to be a liability if she goes to battle. She tried to fly even a broomstick but it explode and she felt really disheartened.

When the Fuso battleship, Yamato had an accident out sea, Yoshika and Lynette voluteered to aid the injuries. After aid the wounded, a Neuroi appeared and started attacking the fleet.

The two witches were preparing sortie but Yoshika was unable to start her unit.

Lynette took off first, buying time for the fleet to retreat. Yoshika cried and blaming herself for being unable to protect anyone. Suddenly, she could hear her father's voice and a hanger gate is open, revealing a new striker unit named Shin-Den.

Strike Fr...wrong show! Strike Yoshika, take off!!

Yoshika took off with the new unit and saved Lynette from crashing into the sea.

Yoshika make quick job of the Neuroi and saved the day.

Later back in the base, Minna and Mio discussed about the new unit and it was concluded that Yoshika's power were too strong for her old unit to handle and thanks to Dr Miyafuji's blueprint in episode 1, The project team was able to complete Shin-Den. Minna even commented that Shin-Den is a custom unit for Yoshika.

The scene ended with Yoshika and Lynette sleeping together soundly.

This is what is expected in a sci-fic Anime. A new problem for the characters and it is resolved with a new unit. I like it for taking this episode seriously after the last one.

Next ep is about Perinne and it probably deal with old haunted castle.

Angels Strike again!

Both Kanade Tachibana and Yui of Angel Beats has went through the next round of Saimoe!

Next round, we see Lisa of Sacred Blacksmith taking on Jun Suzuki of K-On, Yue Ayase of Negima and Takatsuki Kanade of Asura'Cryin in Group E3 while the bad-ass Vampire Evangeline of Negima will take on Ania Fortuna of Asura'Cryin, Chohei of Koihime Musou and Kadea Sakura of Kampfer.

Naruto Chapter 507

Seriously, Gai Sensei kick ass! If Naruto isn't the main lead, they should change the title to "The Super Hot-Blooded Ninja Sensei" With a ridiculous attack called Afternoon Tiger, Gai can take on any evil ninjas! Of course, the focus was Kisame's past where he killed his own comrades to guard their secrets. That is the order of the previous Mizukage which Madara is controlling him.
Most probably, Kisame will meet his demise in one or two chapters. Let see how it goes..

Bleach: Chapter 417 (Ichigo Finger!!!!)

Why do I have a sense of Deja vu? Ichigo has long hair and an arm that is stolen from Allen Walker. Even Isshin has a beard. Aizen being god-like mocking at Ichigo. This is something from Dragonball Z when Freeza battle out with Goku. Ichigo immediately grab Aizen's head and carry him to a deserted land.
Aizen could not feel Ichigo's reitasu which is probably a good thing as it could mean Ichigo could have attained a new level.
Let's see how the battle goes..

Another year, Another Saimoe Battle...

It is that time again where Japan and the world will decide who will be the most "MOE" female character of 2010. Yes, we are talking about Saimoe 2010! For those who are still living in a rock, since 2002, Japan held a voting contest to determine who is their favourite female anime character. The response was overwhelmed and the last few contests, it is open to overseas voters which is a good thing since Anime has been going international for the last decade or so.

So from June 2010, the contest has been going on and the characters nominated are from all anime series (tv, ova, movies excluding hentai series) dated from 1st July 2009 to 30 June 2010. (Sorry, High School of the Dead, try next year.)

The characters went through two preliminary stages and they are placed in 8 different groups. See the chart below to see who are the characters.

On 3 Aug 2010, The characters of Group A and Group B battle each other for seven days and the results are as follows:

Review of Anime series beginning soon...

I will be doing on some ongoing series. Even through it is already mid season and there are hundred of blogs reviewing the same things. This is my take on the current series of spring 2010.

New Anime Shows for Autumn

These are the few shows that I am interested when Autumn start in Oct.

IRONMAN-Madhouse and Stan Lee's Marvel Comics 2nd collaboration after Heroman. From the trailer, it look good with all the flashy lights and explosions. Tony Stark with no mustache looks like a generic Japanese male lead and a villian which I don't remember in the comics who look like a pretty boy.

HYAKKA RYORAN-I believe this is from an Adult Ero game with those Sengoku characters as female characters. A hit or miss like Koihime Musou?

SORA NO OTOSHIMONO: FORTE-The sequel to one of the most fanservice series two seasons ago. For those who miss it, it is about a youth named Tomoki Sakurai who found a fallen angel named Ikaros who is more than she looks. Last season ended with Ikaros revealing her real form and a wonderful ending song.

MOTTO TO-LOVE-RU-From my previous post, let's hope it is a good one.

A Certain Magical Index 2-Sequel to the last one, continuing from where they left off. Touma, a guy whose right hand can nullify any ESP powers meet a young Sister named Index and her brain contains the most ancient of magical spells and Touma must protect her from evil-doers. Misaki from Railgun series return too and hopefully not too much of the occult terms.

Super Robots Wars OG: The Inspectors-I have been waiting for it since the end of the first season where the DVD-only episode show signs of a sequel. From the website alone, Kyosuke and Excellen of ATX will find their lives are linked to an alternative universe who is planning to invade our world. I played the game and the storyline is awesome with new mechas and new characters. No news of an official date but I am waiting.

I will try my best to review these shows if time permits. Hope you too will enjoy these recommedations.

Another Century Episode: Re: birth for PS3

I just bought this game recently and I like to share my review about it.

When I first saw the trailer a few months back, I was blown away by it. Aquarion using Mugen punch on a giant mother ship, VF-25 posing in a kabuki style, Lancelot skating through enemy fires. Did this game deliver when I got it? Yes and No.

Yes. Because it is the first one for PS3 and most of it are from the 2000s Anime series which most people knew today. Code Geass, Macross Frontier, Full Metal Panic, Gundam Seed Destiny (Sorry, no double O) are in the line up with fan favourites like Zeta Gundam and King Gainer. Many fans were surprised that even Banpresto own creations-Super Robot Wars: Original Generations was a last minute line up! Maybe they are trying to promo the new series that is coming up this Autumn. The story is a typical crossover as it involve parallel dimensions and everyone got struck in an alien planet, Nuff' said. But it is nice for graphics but don't expect a FF13 scenery. It has it's own style and come on, it's their first game on a next generation console. Maybe they might push it better in the next sequel.

Now the Bad part. If you use to playing the old series of ACE, I suggest you can throw everything out of the window as it is a different ball game. It took me like four stages to figure what is going on and I still got a game over trying to protect my mother ship. The booster is really a booster but if you can't control it, you might end up hitting a wall or miss your target. Special attacks are now called tensions which can be raised up depends on the units. But somehow, I still don't quite understand it...hmm, maybe need to try out more. The money and skill points are use to upgrade both the units and pliots. This is a new addition to the series as previously, the points are use only to upgrade units and weapons. Well, since the main weapons have infinite
ammo..why not?

Every unit is play different which is both a good and bad thing. Like the Gundam units, they are good in almost anything. However not all of them can fly which is bad especially the first half of the game where most of time, you are on the ground and enemy units are flying around like houseflies! Macross units are good in their multi lock on but their fighter mode is really bad. I mean, it is worse than flying in F-15 from the PS1 Top Gun game! Come on, these are the people who make great flight simulations in the Ace Combat series, why couldn't they use the same physics in here? Maybe they are focusing too much of Ranka Lee Singing each time she do her trademark wink.

Overall the game is a good effort but trying a little bit too hard on the new system. Anyway I give them credit for trying and hope they can clear all the problems in the next sequel.

Remember To-Love-Ru before this Oct...

The first one came out about two years ago, it was a love and hate relationship. One was the story was really off track from the manga like the alien spring resort or Magical Kyoko's adventure. Even the last two episodes was a big disappointment which end in bad taste. They tried to develop all the characters but really in the end, it was all about Rito and Lala.

After the series ended, six OVAs were make and to everyone surprise, it is good! No more crappy stories and it is based on the source materials. It was great especially the Riko episode and The Trouble Quest episode. Plus an introduction of Lala's twin sisters-Momo and Nene who are great supporting characters for the show.

When I heard the news that the 2nd series  which is called Moto-To-Love-Ru  which basically means "More Trouble" is coming this Oct, I was happy and sad. The reason? Happy was one of my favourite anime characters of the 2000s is returning (Go! Kotegawa Yui!) and Sad was this is probably the finale of the series as the manga ended months ago.

I hope I will find time to review the series when it come out this Oct. Until then, See Ya!
