Black Bullet Ep 1: In the year 2021, a parastic virus named Gastrea nearly wiped out mankind. Mankind created zones called Monoliths that is made of Varanium, a material that can damaged Gastrea. Ten years passed and Security officer Rentaro who is a "Promoter" and his partner, Enju-an "Initiator" battle the Gastrea which has secretly entered the city.
From this first episode, Rentaro was pretty all right for a male lead although he mess up when he forget to claim payments for a job. Enju is a "Cursed Children" which make them part Gastera and has super human abilities. However both of them have a dark past since Rentaro has bad blood against his foster grandfather and Enju must be administered a drug to contain her Gastera side. With a creepy masked character which Rentaro was no match against him in the first episode, this show is expected to have a lot of unexpected twists along the way.
Captain Earth Ep 1: Daichi met a boy named Teppei when he was young at his father's space station. Teppei showed him his powers and they also met a girl named Hana in a secret lab. Daichi's father was later killed after sacrificing himself to an alien invasion. Years later, Daichi returned to the space station and found a robot which blasted him to space and combine with three more components to become Earth Engine Impacter.
Given that it has a similar feel to Eureka 7 and Star Driver, Daichi might be like Renton who is about to find out that he is destined for great things. Earth Engine Impacter looked cool and perhaps one of the beautifully design robots for the last five years. The combination sequence was unique since it required three orbital space station to form one over the other while the core robot docked with the components. It might have a slow start but it could be one of the best shows this season!
Fuun Ishin Dai Shogun Ep 1: Kenichiro is a gangster who make a name for himself after conquering all the gangs in Nagasaki. When he is framed for a serial murder, he trailed the killer and found a beautiful Kunoichi-Kiriko has been secretly protecting him. She asked if he is a virgin and Kenichiro's grandmother told him that he is actually the descendant of the ruling Tokugawa Shogun. He piloted a robot named Sussano and learned that dark forces have fallen Japan...
Kenichiro is hot headed and reckless but he is weak against beautiful women and is still a virgin. It is hilarious when he overreact after touching Kiriko's breasts which make him the perfect person to pilot Sussano, a robot with unknown powers. Look fun to watch although you might have to wait for the blu-ray or DVD version to see all the good stuff. By the way, Kiriko is hot for a Kunoichi!
Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka Ep 1: Cocoa moved to a new town and coincidentally the place she staying is also a cafe called Rabbit House Cafe. She began working there and make friends with the cafe's granddaughter, Chino and part timer student, Rize.
A cute show which might distance some people however if you like Kiniro Mosaic with it's slice of life feel, this show is for you!
Hitsugi no Chaika Ep 1: Toru is a down and out former soldier when he met a young girl named Chaika who is carrying a large coffin behind her back. When they were attacked by a deranged Unicorn, Toru discovered Chaika is a wizard and she used a magic sniper rifle to defeat the unicorn. Chaika asked Toru and his sister, Akari to recover an artifact from the fallen Gazu Empire and learned they are not the only ones after the artifact...
I am guessing this year's anime festivals, some girls might tried to cosplay as Chaika and carrying a coffin behind her back. It is pretty all right with Toru who beg Chaika to pay for his food and Chaika who somehow speak in slow and broken sentences. (Maybe she has speech defect?) But her sniper rifle pack a punch as it slice an Unicorn into halves (Take that! MLP!) Interesting start with it's mysterious fantasy theme.
Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara Ep 1: Sota has the ability to see "Flags" on people's heads which he is able to break or accept the flag and change the choice of a person's life. Nanami somehow suspect his abilities and questioned him in school. He explained her everything but she has doubts until another girl, Akane initiated a "Friendship" flag to Sota. He tried to reject her but failed somehow. Later he spotted a "Death" flag to Akane and tried to save her but changing it into a "Lovers" Flag with the words "complete" hanging on it. Later, Sota saw the "Death" flag on his head...
Also known as Gaworare for short. It seems that Sota, Nanami and Akane had bad pasts before meeting each other. Sota was the sole survivor of a cruise ship accident, Nanami came from a royal family who is having a power struggle and Akane's family separated Akane and her first friend due to status. Sota feared his own powers and reject people who want to make friends with him. However Nanami and Akane somehow refused to be back down and in the process, they became his first friends. Although with a death flag looming on his head, can he change his fate before it is too late? A more darker version than Noucome but cuter characters!
Kenzen Robo Daimidaler Ep 1: Koichi is an open pervert who like to grope on girls' breasts and peeked underneath girl's skirts. The evil Penguin empire with it's giant robots attacked him and he was rescued by Kyoko who claimed his Hi-Ero powers is the only thing that can stop the Penguin empire. He piloted the robot-Daimidaler and realised the only way he is able to awaken his Hi-Ero powers is by groping on Kyoko's breasts and save the day...
If Koichi is in Super Robot Taisen the Video game, he will be the most perverted pilot ever with every female characters avoiding him like the plague. However his powers gave him super human abilities and Daimidaler looked like something that came out from the junkyard and probably gave the enemies a hell of a time. The Penguin empire's troops looked like they should be in a hentai show with their junk exposing on their groin. I wonder if the creators even thought this show would be better as a hentai show instead. But then Koichi will have to go overdrive and score with Kyoko a home run instead of first base...
Mahouka Ep 1: In the future, magic is used as a weapon and countries began training people to become magicians as soldiers. Siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki enrolled into the First High School to become magicians however Miyuki is enrolled into the elites or Bloom and Tatsuya is enrolled into the reserves or Weed. Although Miyuki did not want to leave Tatsuya but he ensured he will be all right. After nearly getting into a fight with some Bloom students, the student council step in but Tatsuya used his quick wits to resolve the matter...
I am seriously thinking that Miyuki might have a case of Bro-con since she is pretty obsessed wih her brother, Tatsuya. But then we got more problems with the way the school is structured. It is pretty obvious that the Bloom are the cream of the crop and looked down at the Weed who are labelled as second class. Tatsuya might be a Weed but has abilities stronger than any Bloom which is the typical hero who has a secret power but tried to remain subtle about it. It won't be long before Tatsuya is forced to use his power to help Miyuki and his classmates...
Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin Ep 1: Jugo started staying in one of the dorm for his high school year. However it is haunted by a female ghost named Nanana who is unable to leave the dorm. With a ghost who love to play online games and eating puddings, Nanana is perhaps the most positive ghost so far however as Jugo learned from the landlady, Maboro that Nanana was lonely before he moved and with the notebook that he found, he decided to find her collections and perhaps rest her soul...

Similar like the manga, Ash is an outcast and got into a fight with Silvia who also has a dark past yet to be reveal. The only thing they have to explain as to how did he lose his right arm in the first place? Although his dragon girl named Eco has yet to speak but I am expecting a bit of spoilt girl character experience in the next episode. This episode might left with a cliffhanger, there is more to come and perhaps some fan service if they follow the manga...
