First Impressions: Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Ep 1, Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter Ep 1, Shin Sekai Yori Ep 1, Hayate no Gotoku S3 Ep 1, Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! Ep 1

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Ep 1: Shizuka has no interests in anything other than study and getting good grades. When she was obliged to send notes to Haru who is rumored to be a delinquent, he mistaken Shizuka as his friend and started going to school for her sake. But Haru is a naive person who always get cheated by his "so-called friends" who are real delinquents.

She was constantly annoyed by him until she discovered that he is actually the top student in the entry exam. But then Haru kiss her unexpectedly and confessed his love for her which leave her speechless...

Shizuka is a textbook example of an over competitive student who think of nothing but grades. Haru want to make friends however everyone avoided him because of his attitude. So when Shizuka come to his life, he become so obsessed that it is hilarious at sometime. An interesting show however I am not too keen on Shojo manga stories so I might just drop it after watching the next episode.

Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter Ep 1: In the future, specially created vehicles known as AI vehicle were used for transportation and anyone above the age of 12 is allowed to drive one of these vehicles. So when Kakeru was given a special AI sports car named Lifebird which has the abilities to transform to a combat robot, he entered a secret war for the fate of the Earth...

When an elderly man wore a cape and talk in the shadow, you know this is the bad guy!

Kakeru's mother and Rui are hot..Any Doujin artists taking note?

When I first looked at the robot design, it looked like Huckebein from Super Robots War OG series and the plot is similar to many of the competitive animes for kids like Beyblade, Bakugan and a bit of Pokemon. The robot does not talk which I am glad they didn't, otherwise it will definitely be a Transformers-rip off. The only saving factor is Kakeru's mother and the female instructor Rui are hot! However it is a show to promote an arcade card game in Japan so this show will definitely hit the 50 episodes mark and beyond.

Shin Sekai Yori Ep 1: A strange phenomena around the world turned many teens with ESP powers however it was the beginning of the end. 1000 years later, a small village was established and the chosen few children with ESP powers were send to a school to master their powers. However Saki suspected there is something the adults including her parents are hiding from them and the disappearance of children who don't have ESP powers. Saki then discovered her parents had a child before her and one of her classmates went missing...

So in a post apocalypse world, mankind returned to the basics and avoiding technology. The kids were never told the truth and claimed the outside world is filled with monsters. Saki and her friends tried to make senses to the rumors of mysterious creatures who snatch children away at night and a graveyard behind the school garden. Pretty creepy stuff and if you take the first 5 minutes of the episode, you might think you are watching a Miyazaki film due to it's setting and slow pacing.

Nagi think UFO and Little Grey Men exist?!

Hayate no Gotoku S3 Ep 1: I just called it Season 3 as the full title of "Can't keep my eyes of you" is ridiculous too long even though it is based on an original storyline the author came up with. Anyway, Nagi is again being a total useless person and Hayate had to keep an eye for her. Nagi received a call from the Nevada Police who want her to claim back her late father's belongings who died an accident years ago. But her real motive is to go and explore Area 51 after watching an UFO TV special.

I can FLY!!!!!!

But again, Nagi got kidnapped and Hayate saved the day by using a mysterious girl's bicycle. After that, the girl revealed to Ruri Tsugumi and proclaimed she is Nagi's younger sister...

So after a disappointing 2nd season and movie, a series which has nothing to do with the main storyline is now showing, The character design look a bit different from the previous seasons and the comedy is kinda hard to swollen. I was never a fan of Nagi which is an another of Kugimiya Rie's tsundere roles that I despite. Hayate was all right, playing the bullied bulter who always come to save Nagi's ass every time. Marie was still sweet and sometimes, a bit dark. But where is my Hinagiku?

Shinka look hot...Another candidate for Doujin!

Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! Ep 1: Chuunibyou which means adolescent delusions or in layman's term-Stopping thinking in a fantasy world when you are already in High School! So Yuuta who used to be like that in Middle school was alienated by everyone. He decided to come with a clean slate when he started High School.

Look at my eye!

But an encounter with a girl, Rikka who wore an eye patch tried to make him go back to his own ways. He later found out she stay with her elder sister a floor above his house and he even invited Rikka for dinner with his family...

I think a lot of us actually go through these phase in life. When you were young, you tend to think that you are a super hero or the world around is like a fantasy. But when you are about 14 or 15 and you still behave like that, people tend to avoid you and think you are a geek or a weirdo.

So I can somehow relay myself to Yuuta who just want to be more mature and started making friends. Girls back then dislike boys who behave like kids. (Trust me) Rikka look like a more Moe version of Misaki Mei from Another without the creepy vibes. Interesting show make me wonder will Yuuta succumb to Rikka's behaviour or he finally get a shot with Shinka, the hot girl in class.

(I am aware that Fukuyama Jun voiced Yuuta and his first new friend, Makoto is voiced by Hoshi Soichiro. So it is Keita from Inukami and Tomoki from Sora no Otoshimono in the same class. If both played horny perverts, the girls will beg to change class)

P.S: I will be leaving to Japan tomorrow so all the new shows will be put on hold until I come back on the 14th. So please be patient and I will see you again in two weeks time! See you!
