Tropical Rouge Precure Ep 12 Review: So that's why the Aqua Pot is so Important...

Hi, Everyone! This is my Short review of Tropical Rouge Precure Episode 12 and my thoughts about the episode. 

This episode is the introduction of Kakuta who leads the Discipline committee in the school and she finds the Tropical Club suspicious even since the rumours of Mermaids roaming the city and school. The girls tried their best to hide Laura and Kururu from Kakuta which finally leads her to confiscate the Aqua Pot from them claiming it to be not part of "School Regulations."

But when Elda create a Zenzen Yaranade and sucked out the motivation from everyone in the park, the girls couldn't do much damage without destroying the motivation in the process. Which come to think about it, the Aqua Pot does have a purpose to claim back the motivation energy. If the girls were to finish off the Yaranade without removing the motivation energy first, then there is no way the affected people will return to normal. Although this was never explained by anyone in the show, it makes sense after all. 

While the girls are fighting the Yaranade, Laura sneaks into the Discipline committee room and her cover was almost blown as she used a school uniform and a long skirt to hide her identity. Kakuta found her suspicious and chased her around the school. Laura managed to give her the slip and joined the others to reclaim the motivation energy. 

Kakuta tried to confiscate the Aqua Pot from the girls the next day but Minori used a loophole in their school regulations which saved them. Laura wanted to keep the uniform but was told her skirt is too long and will never get past the Discipline committee. Although it might be foreshadowing, Laura might finally get a chance to be part of the school if something miracle happens like growing a pair of legs in the future ala the Little Mermaid. 

Overall, an okay episode but seeing how everyone is hoping for my thoughts based on the stats on my blog, I decided to give in to do this short review. As state before, I won't do reviews for every episode if there is little or none to talk about unless something major does happen in the episode.

Tropical Rouge Precure Ep 10 Review: The New Power! Precure Mix Tropical!

Hi, Everyone! This is my review of Tropical Rouge Precure Episode 9 and the girls faced their first challenge with the new Zenzen Yaranade!

We found out Manatsu's weakness! She is not a diligent person as she failed her latest test paper and having the risk of the club being disbanded! The other girls tried to help her but when a new Yaranade named Zenzen Yaranade created by Chongire with a new negative energy ball started to wreck the city, the girls faced their first challenge yet!

The girls were unable to put a dent on the Zenzen Yaranade and it even forced Cure Summer to transform back to Manatsu. It then proceeds to suck the motivation out of Manatsu and the Mermaid Aqua pot was flung into the canals during the battle!

As Laura search for the pot which includes risking herself into the dirty parts of the canals, the girls tried to get Manatsu to overcome her self-loathing but to no avail. The Zenzen Yaranade returned and the remaining three girls took on the Yaranade themselves.

Did we miss an animation? How did the girls get long sleeves all of sudden?

Manatsu saw what is going on and force herself to protect her friends which she managed to overcome her self-loathing by sheer willpower! A filthy Laura returned with the pot and showered the recovered motivation onto the girls. This gave the girls the first Team power-up item-Heart Quartet Ring and their Team Special Attack- Precure Mix Tropical!

After the battle, Manatsu thanks everyone including Laura for overcome her self-loathing. But Manatsu still failed her tests and had to retake again by the end of the week...

It's been a while since we have a leader Cure who is not good in her studies and Manatsu is one example! But the focus in this episode is her friends and Laura who risk themselves to protect her and recover the Aqua pot. Even though it isn't very long but her friends tried their best to help Manatsu to overcome her self-loathing and the spoilt Laura also learn to take risks for Manatsu by swimming into the dirty canals just to find the Pot. (Although it was Kururu who was still inside the pot that swam out of the canals for Laura to find her)

We also have the new Zenzen Yaranade which are tougher than Ordinary Yaranade and can even suck out the girls' motivations if they are not careful. I was right before that the generals will get their sticks together if they want to have an even match against the girls and now with the Zenzen Yaranade, it will be a tougher fight for the girls. 

However the girls also get their first Team Power-up which is the Heart Quartet Ring and their Special Attack- Precure Mix Tropical which is all their heart energies created a bird-like creature that smashes through the Yaranade to purify it. 

Overall, a good episode for their first power-up. I didn't like the previous episode about the actress who is filming at the girls' school since it felt like a filler until at the very end when Bulter introduced the new energy ball to the generals for their usage. In the next episode, the girls are going to the beach for a sand art contest! Until then, stay safe and see you in the next post!
