Healin' Good Precure Ep 13 Review: Static Shock!

Hi everyone! We are back after two months plus of waiting, the adventures of Team Healin' continue and where we last left off, Hinata felt she is not worthy to be a Precure after their encounter with the new general, Batetemoda...

Nodoka and Chiyu brought Latte to Hinata's Veterinarian father for a check-up and guess Hinata inherited her father's bad jokes which only Chiyu laughed upon. However, Hinata was not her usual self and told the girls and the Healing Animals that she wants to quit as a Precure.

At the same time, King Byogen was pleased with Batetemoda's performance and want the other generals to follow. Shindoine was jealous while Daruizen showed indifference. Only Guaiwaru was happy for Batetemoda and they went to Earth to create some mayhem.

Back at Hinata's place, she told the girls that the battles they encountered so far, has pushed them further and harder since their enemies are getting stronger. However, Batetemoda's encounter makes Hinata realise that it might be useless to take him on since he defeated them singlehandedly. She also confessed that from young, she tried different interests like dancing and piano lessons but she gave up as it was difficult for her. Chiyu understands what she meant that it takes practice and time to expect results and for them, every battle is dangerous and risky.

Hinata ensures Nyatoran that she is not quitting now as a Precure and played with his cheeks. Guaiwaru demonstrates to Batetemoda how to create a strong Megabyogen and corrupted the Lighting Element spirit on a drone.

Latte began to felt weak and told the girls that the cause is in the sky. The girls looked up but did not see the Megabyogen. They then saw people suffering from static electric shock and the Healing Animals are also affected due to them having fur. It also affected machinery and shops all over town.

Hinata then learned that her sister Mei is trapped inside the Juice van. She tried to help but Mei told her not to worry since the effects will go away soon. Hinata is now determined to find out the Megabyogen and thanks to social media and a corrupted drone on the ground, the girls found the Megabyogen and transformed to battle.

The girls stopped the Megabyogen's tracks and began battling it. However, it is moving too fast until Cure Fortaine used her Ice Element to freeze it and Cure Sparkle knocked it to the ground.  They then finished it off with Healing Oasis and free the Lighting Element Spirit.

Everything went back to normal and the Lighting Element Spirit also granted Hinata a Lighting Bottle. After that, the girls saw that Mei has gotten out of the van and prepared some juice for the girls. Hinata thanks everyone for reawakening her determination so long as she never gave up, she can help everyone in need and not felt there was no purpose in their quest. The girls then enjoyed themselves some juice under the sun...

I hope everyone is doing well as we are not out of the woods yet for the COVID-19 situation around the world but we will get there eventually like Hinata's words, everyone should play a part and we can get over this crisis. For Hinata in this episode, she is easy to give up if things don't go well for her and she expects to get results as soon as possible. Perhaps for some things however being a Precure is never going to be easy like her seniors Cures before her, every battle is going to be a challenge and it probably will affect the girls physically and mentally. Most important of all is to stay positive, good friends and families to support and the will to never give up.

I am suspecting that Batetemoda has his own ulterior motives like the rat he is, he probably wants to get on the other generals' good sides and learn their secrets. Like I said before, he might be the big bad for the first half of the season and the girls will need a new ally (Cure Earth) to aid them in the upcoming episodes.

The battle itself is all right and we got a full transformation sequence in this episode which is rare for Toei but then this episode doesn't have much plot to go with other than Hinata's doubts.

Overall, it is good to be back in this blog doing reviews again! In the next episode, a food festival is held in town which got Rabbirn all hungry over the delicious snacks. Until then, stay safe and see you in the next post!
