Cure Up! Rapapa! This is my review of Maho Tsukai Precure Episode 46 Review and it is Christmas Eve!
For a Christmas episode, I find the episode to be pretty blend in some aspects although the girls now believe it wasn't Santa Claus who delivered the presents to good children around the world but rather a whole fleet of Dress Up Santa to deliver the presents.
So when Mr Issac hurt his back again, the girls volunteered to deliver the presents not just in the Magic World but also Earth itself. Mirai even thought that they have to go into every chimney (which in fact, no one has a chimney in their house anymore) but rather use the magic stockings to deliver the presents.
The other plot of the episode is Kana and Mayumi walking around Christmas and Kana explained of her reason of finding the magic users and it goes back to her childhood of being ridiculed after claiming to see a flying saucer in the sky. It is an interesting development and she did get her wish to see the girls in Precure form up close and personal after their battle with Benigyo. (Although she doesn't know it is Mirai and company since they aged a bit)
I was expecting Benigyo to create some trouble during Christmas but no, it is still very one-sided as the girls defeated her Don Yokubal with ease. Benigyo has her problems of communicating the revival generals that Oruba released and they are just shadowy figures with no physical form. (With 4 episodes left, I am just guessing they will just attack the girls in this form till the end which is pretty lame and uninteresting)
Overall, a very bad Christmas episode with just some development about Kana but the rest of the episode is boring and typical. Thumbs down for this episode! Next episode which will be shown in two weeks time, it is the New Year however Desumast has finally arrived and I can't wait for this show to end so we can get to Kira Kira Precure ASAP! Until then, see you in two weeks times and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I could see BanG Dream might be the next K-ON since Bushiroad is promoting this new IP everywhere. Of course, there are quite a number of ongoing shows that are having 2 cour like Gundam-Iron Blooded Orphans, Tiger Mask and ClassicaLoid.
So until then, see you in January for the new season and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Maho Tsukai Precure Ep 45: Kushi's Last Will and Testament
Cure Up! Rapapa! This is my review of Maho Tsukai Precure Episode 45 Review and we learn more about Kushi and the Headmaster's past.
In terms of side characters' development, we got quite a few from the Headmaster and his relationship with Kushi, Oruba and how he is connected with Deusmast and Batty who somehow decided to be a hermit instead.
First was the Headmaster and Kushi. From Kathy's conversation with the girls, the two men were childhood friends and they were competing in magic till their adulthood. However Kushi learn about the Linkle stones and decide to get it himself by creating a Dark Spell book. Instead Kushi was corrupted by the book and became Dokuroxy.
The headmaster was determined to get back Kushi's spell book from Oruba and by the end, he did and found a Testament by Kushi which implies that he knew he will be corrupted by the Dark spells but still regard the Headmaster as his best friend which the headmaster forgave him.
We do found out that Oruba was one of the surviving followers of Deusmast before he was sealed by Rapapa. However he left specific spells all over the world hoping that someone will find it and use to revive Desumast once more. Oruba also revealed his true form after Spalda and Gatments betray him and tried to steal the spell book from him.
Oruba turned the two generals back to their original animal form which angered Batty who realised that everything was all a lie and Oruba was just using them for his own agenda.
Which finally led to Batty combining the animal forms of Spalda, Gatments, Yamoh and Dokuroxy to take on Oruba's Don Yokubal. Batty actually defeated the Don Yokubal and the girls defeated Oruba (which I think he is dead now) but not before Oruba released his final spell from the book before dying.
In the end, Batty left with his fallen comrades to another dimension which I am guessing that's it for them? (What the hell?)
Overall, the girls were completely overshadow by the side characters in this episode. Although it is interesting to know the back story of the Headmaster, Kushi and Oruba but I felt it is pretty too late to know all these since the series is going to end very soon. Batty leaving was a sign of him finding his inner peace which I probably not going to miss him since his character was all over the place in the first half of the season and Spalda and Gatments were basically Cannon Fodder for not just the girls and even Oruba.
Oruba's form was interesting but it is really wasted as the girls defeated him with the Extreme Rainbow in this one and only episode. Oruba could have been the final boss with that form but instead, they had to let Desumast to be the final boss which seriously if he appeared like how Dokuroxy did in episode 20 and 21, it is going to be points off for me when I roast this season when it end.
Yes, I know Kushi is voiced by Nakamura Yuichi which I did said before that him and Hayami Saori (Kotoha's voice actress) played opposite each other in many shows before and their chemistry was great but here it is a wasted opportunity for the two of them not to interact with each other. Unless, of course if Desumast is voiced by Nakamura Yuichi and Kotoha went all Rapapa Form in the finale, it will be great but until then, we have to wait and see.
With Benigyo as the last general, she decide to go all She-Devil Santa and invade Christmas Eve! Will the girls be able to save Christmas and will my wish of seeing Kira Kira Precure A La Mode come faster? Until then, see you in the next post!
P.S: I did see the leaks of Kira Kira Precure and my initial thoughts was maybe these are the girls' Spirit Animals like Power Rangers Jungle Fury/Gekiranger or the current Zyuohger. Looking how the girls' positions, I am guessing that Cure Whip, Custard and Gelato are one group and Cure Macaron and Chocolat could be a Rival Precure team which is similar to Hurricanger/Power Rangers Ninja Storm which I have no objection about it. (Pray that it doesn't suck like this train wreck we are currently watching now)

Maho Tsukai Precure Ep 44: Babysitter Morfurun
Cure Up! Rapapa! This is my review of Maho Tsukai Precure Episode 44 Review and the girls got turned into kids by Oruba's magic!
By some dumb plot, Oruba managed to use a spell from the Dark Book to turn the girls into kids. Although why Oruba didn't take them out of the equation is probably because if he did that, the show will have ended!
Morfurn was left taking care of the young toddlers but I find that the girls' mischief was only restricted to Mirai's room. It didn't went all crazy like Smile Precure where the girls were roaming outside and even battled in chibi Precure suits. Instead the episode was pretty tame as the girls do retain some memories of their older self but were easily distracted.
The other plot point which doesn't make sense was why Oruba revived Batty and Gamets. Gamets was pumped up to fight Cure Felice however Batty showed no sign of wanting to be involved with the Precures. Where is Benigyo all these while? I know she cared less of her comrades but come on, at least show her despise of this trio of losers who still lose in their revival battle with the girls.
Which make me wonder what happened to Batty? The last time we saw him, he was vaporised by the Linkle Emerald positive energy which revert back to his bat form. Maybe he felt that he was on the wrong side all these while and is having conflict issues. Although we will probably understand more in the next episode since he was seen together with the headmaster and joined together with the girls' battle.
Morfun trying to protect the girls was kinda of redundant as the girls stood up to fight and somehow transforming actually broke the kids' spell and the battle was pretty much settled. Although Oruba wanted to get more details from Cure Felice which he caught her in a bind but she broke free and pretty ended the battle quickly.
Overall, this episode was a mixed bag. One, we know that Batty will probably change sides seeing his conflicts. Next, the kids moments didn't went overboard and Morfurn did tried her best to take care of the girls. (Although she had to lie to Mirai's mother that Mirai had a cold and Mirai got a bowl of porridge for dinner that night)
Reviving the old villains was not a good idea since they still lose twice in a row and the girls took them out easily. Oruba wanting to probe more of Cure Felice is reaching a new of level of creepiness where in the next episode, his face was so close to Spalda that she is getting very uncomfortable. (Maybe Spalda behave like Tae from "Kiss Him, Not Me where she is secretly a crazed BL fangirl)
The headmaster making a trip to Earth is uninteresting since he wanted to undo the spell for the girls but it looked like he will be joining the girls for the upcoming New Year instead. Until then, see you in the next post!
