Happiness Charge Precure Ep 30: The Dark Side of Lovely

 

The girls were admiring the Shining Make Dresser and Ribbon told them it can also grant people wishes. They tried to wish something but nothing happened. Blue told them that the "Innocence" in their heart must be strong in order for the Shining Make Dresser to grant them their wishes.

 

This week's Precure is Powerhouse Milky Rose!

 

 

 

As Iona used her PreCard to dress as a bride while Hime prepare to do some make up, Blue told the girls that he and Cure Mirage used the Shining Make Dresser to destroy a great evil 300 years ago which got the girls surprised that Queen Mirage is a former Precure.

 

 

Blue decided to take a breather and went to the local shrine. Megumi followed him and gave him some words of encouragement. Suddenly Phantom arrived and claimed that Queen Mirage has ordered him to kill Blue which shocked Blue.

 

 

 

 

Megumi transformed and battle Phantom. After a few rounds, Phantom used his new power and turned himself into a darker version of Cure Lovely by using her shadow. Cure Unlovely is her name and she started beating Cure Lovely. Unlovely turned the city into darkness and even started taunting Cure Lovely about her being a useless person.

 

 

 

It caused Cure Lovely to lose her will to fight on when suddenly the others arrived. Glasses sensed that Unlovely is Phantom in disguise and Cure Fortune and Cure Honey tried to take him on. However they will knocked down immediately. Unlovely left to destroy the city and Cure Princess snapped Cure Lovely out of her self-pity by pinching her hard. Cure Princess and the others told her not to give up which got Cure Lovely to stand up again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They faced Unlovely again and Cure Lovely and him started battling in a test of strength. Cure Lovely won and Phantom was revealed to them. This caused the Shining Make Dresser to appear and gave them their new power-Precure Happiness Big Bang and defeated Phantom.

 

 

Cure Lovely thanked everyone for their encouragement as Phantom laid on the ground in defeat...

 

A pretty good episode as Phantom poke into Cure Lovely's inner thoughts and tried to attack her mentally. It's being a while since I heard the word "Innocence" which is from D-Gray Man but here is more of one's true feelings which the Shining Make Dresser will react to it. (You mean it has a mind of it's own?)

 

Next we learned a bit more of Queen Mirage's past as she is once called Cure Mirage and worked with Blue to defeat a great evil. (I am guessing Deep Mirror of the past) But due to Blue unwilling to commit, Cure Mirage fall from grace and became Queen Mirage. I think this is the first time we have a fallen Precure who truly went to the dark side and became evil.

 

I was expecting Phantom to create Cure Unlovely but instead, he literally became Cure Unlovely. She know every thing about Megumi and started taunting her about being a person who does not want to get lonely and want to be loved by everyone. Unlovely even bring Megumi's mother into it which is really a low blow for her. But thanks to Cure Princess and the others, she overcame it and grant a new power-Precure Happiness Big Bang.

 

The way the power is used is kinda of funny as the girls have to "Make up" and twirl their magic lipsticks to activate it. It will be hilarious if the Saiark have to wait for them to finish their "Make up" before attacking. (Imagine the girls say to the Saiark-"Sorry! Have to powder my face! Put up my lipstick! Do my fingers! Ok! I am done and you are dead!) However this is not the true potential of the Make Dresser as we still have yet to see their new form as shown in the ending.

In the next episode, Phantom is defeated and Yuko took him in to heal his wounds. Will she move Phantom's heart and how will the others react to it? Are we seeing a new shipping!? See you next week to find out!

Marvel Disk Wars Avengers Ep 22: The heroes began to battle Loki and he pretend to be weak against them. Suddenly Loki was able to use the heroes and villians' powers as he has absorbed the disks before the machine was destroyed.

 

 

 

 

Loki used Diablo's alchemy to influence Hulk however Ed was about to get through him and Hulk punched Loki away. He then created a whirlwind to delay the heroes' active time limit but Iron Man trick Loki into claiming that everyone in the world is watching their battle live and giving insults to Loki.

 

 

 

 

Loki was furious and merged all the disks to create clones of himself. Each of them attacked the Avengers and their time is running out. Akira shouted to Iron Man not to give up and suddenly all the kids gained a new power which enable the heroes to last longer and stronger. They defeated the clones with Iron Man using Ultimate Uni Beam to clash with Loki's powers. 

 

 

It created a dimensional rip in the sky and started pulling everything in. Loki was finally defeated and was knocked into the rip with the disks. Nozomu could not hold on to Akira's hand but told his sons to be strong. He then let go and fell into the rip...

 

A pretty good episode with the Avengers taking on Loki who has almost unlimited powers. However he was defeated due to underestimate the kids and their bonds. Although I find it silly that Loki can get pissed off by Iron Man's insults which prove that although Loki might be scheming and power hungry, he can be immature and whining about losing and insults. However the cost was too great as once again, the disks fell into the rip with Loki and Nozomu. In the next episode, the heroes take a short break but a new evil arises in the form of something red...

 

 

 

Momo Kyun Sword Ep 8: Momoko and her companions discovered a hot spring inn and decided to try it out. They met up with Onihime, Enki, the Tenyo girls and Sumeragi. The girls were enjoying themselves with Sarugami, Inugami and Seimei on the other side.

 

 

After the bath, the girls discovered their under wears have gone missing (except Sumeragi) and they found that the Inn owner stole it. He confessed for the stealing but explained that an Oni demanded for young women under wears or else he will destroy the village.

 

 

 

The girls set a trap for the Oni (using Kushinda and some under wears as bait) When the Oni appear, it ignore Kushinda and go for the under wears instead (minus Sumeragi's underwear) The girls attacked but due to them going commando, they felt embarrassed. Momoko and Onihime knocked the Oni down but it ate the under wears and became stronger. Momoko and Kijigami tried to defeat it with their powers when suddenly the Oni ate Sumeragi' underwear and became very weak.

 

 

They then realised the Oni's source were young girls under wears which annoyed Sumeragi and she blasted it away. The Oni was brought away by Onihime and Enki and everyone continued on their journey with Sumeragi wanting to wear more sexy under wears...

 

Another fan service episode as the girls enjoying themselves in a hot spring inn. The running gag is Sumeragi is treated as an elderly woman which annoyed her more when the Oni ignored her underwear. But it turned out to be the secret weapon to defeat it. Onihime mentioned that the Oni is a runaway soldier who dislike their clans' rules and ran away. She claimed that an Oni should be evil in a honorable manner (Which kinda of conflict of they did usually do) but I sort of understand that one should not use underhand methods however it might bite Onihime back in the future. Overall, a fun episode with a hilarious ending...

 

 

Persona 4 Golden Ep 8: Two days before Christmas Eve, Yu asked the girls to come to his place on Christmas Eve and the girls thought they are spending the eve with him alone. However it was the guys's suggestion to have a party and they cook the food.

 

 

The girls started fantasizing on their date. (Naoto was the most far fetched as she think the girls and Yu are trying to murder her) Finally on the actual day, the guys will tied down at work and at home, leaving Yu to handle the cooking alone. Rise came in first but Yu asked her to buy a large fish at the supermarket. Next came Chie and Yu asked her to collect the tomatoes while he went to pass clothes for Nanako at the hospital. Yukiko came by and was instructed by Yu to look over the stove.

 

 

 

Ebihara who was asked by Teddie to help Yu came by and Chie accidentally throw a tomato at her coat. Eventually all the girls met at each other and got into a fight. Naoto came wearing protective gear and thought Yu (who just came back) was trying to murder her with the others...

 

 

 

The next day, everyone celebrate Christmas with Nanako (The girls were pissed at Yu) and soon the new year has arrived. A day later, Yu caught a fever and had a dream of Marie saying goodbye to him. Yu woke up in tears but could not remember Marie at all...

 

A funny Christmas episode (in August!) with the girls getting the wrong ideas of celebrating with Yu alone. In the game, you can only date one girl for Christmas or hang out with the guys. I am not surprised the show actually get everyone to celebrate Christmas together. But from the way the end of the episode, we might be seeing Yu and Marie shipping together. As recalled from the previous episode, Marie finally remember who she is and the comb like object disappeared together. Everyone including Yu forgot about her existence but now it seems things are going to change once the gang goes to the ski resort in the next episode...

 

 

 

Rail Wars Ep 9: The carriage continue to enter the tunnel but it kept titling on one side. Sho kicked hard onto the wall to counterbalance but injured his leg. During the journey, Aoi nearly fell off the carriage but Naoto caught hold of her.

 

 

 

They were reaching the last two curves but the carriage is not slowing down. Naoto and Aoi decided to use their weight to counterbalance it which they did it. The next curve was even longer and the two of them are not heavy enough to shift the weight. Haruka and Sho joined in and finally went through the curve.

 

 

They were reaching the station but the carriage did not slow down. Sho tried to pull the carriage back but failed. Naoto and Haruka decided to jump onto the platform with Aoi got off last before the carriage crushed into a barrier. They passed the organs to the waiting team and were finally tired out.

 

 

 

Naoto claimed he wasn't a good leader however everyone agreed in his judgements and want him to continue on as deputy leader. A few days later, the team passed the simulation and were walking to Nao's concert with Sasshou. Aoi looked at a dress and Naoto thought she like it. She denied it but he told her she looked nice in a dress. She acted tough and claimed she will work in Public Security and respected his decision to be a train driver...

 

After much obstacles, the team is more united and the relationship between Naoto, Aoi and Haruka is actually much better. Aoi now respected him more as a leader because of his decisions making and he save her from being flung out. Haruka now treat Aoi as a rival since they both like Naoto and she too has a tragic past claiming someone close to her lose their live due to an organ transplant incident.

 

Even though Naoto wanted to be a train driver but for now, he will take his current role seriously and everyone is on board with his leadership. Next episode, a foreign visitor board their train however it is a start of a crazy wild goose chase for the gang!

 

Happiness Charge Precure Ep 29: Reveal! Blue and Queen Mirage's Past!

 

Blue was pounding at the Axia box when Megumi came in. He explained that the box has a hidden secret and want everyone to gathered.

 

This week's Precure is Cure Peace! Ja-Ken-Po!!

 

 

He then explained that the Shining Make Dresser is hidden inside the Axia box and can give the girls a power up boost. Iona insisted they should use it immediately in order to save the world. However Megumi claimed that Blue will be shaken if they attack Queen Mirage but Blue insisted he will be all right.

 

 

 

 

Iona was angry with her and left. Yuko gave her a pep talk and agreed to talk to Megumi again. That night, Megumi called up Seiji and he advised her to be herself and things will work out eventually. At the same time, Hime make some onigiri for Blue to cheer him up and he appreciated it.

 

 

 

 

While Queen Mirage was staring at the Earth in her lair, Megumi found Blue at the local shrine and want to know more about his relationship with Queen Mirage. The others arrived and asked the same question. He agreed and showed that a mirror of their past. Three hundred years ago, Queen Mirage was a local Miko and she was very close with Blue when they came to Earth. However Blue is the deity of the Earth and he cared everything on Earth.

 

 

 

But Queen Mirage's unrequited love did not move Blue which she mistaken it for hatred and fall from grace. The girls understand better and suggested that Blue should apologise to Queen Mirage for his "misleading love" They also agreed to support him when they see Queen Mirage. However Deep Mirror has overheard everything and influenced Queen Mirage to attack the Precures and destroy the Axia box. She ordered the three Saiark generals to attack them immediately.

 

 

Blue ordered Hime to use her "holy" powers within her to awaken the Shining Make Dresser from the Axia Box as he over watch the ceremony. The three generals arrived and the remaining three girls transform and hold them at bay.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Axia box suddenly change form and become the Shining Make Dresser. Blue told them it will increase their form change powers and Cure Lovely used Lollipop Hip hop to weaken the generals. Cure Fortune tried to purify them but Deep Mirror interfere and free them from the attack. The generals retreated and Deep Mirror used his influence to make Queen Mirage hate Blue more. She ordered Phantom to deal with Blue and the Precures next...

 

As I suggested before, Blue's relationship with Queen Mirage is more of a misunderstanding. She thought that Blue only cared for her but because of his status, he can't have a relationship which cause Queen Mirage to become evil. But how did she became evil is another mystery which it could be connected to Deep Mirror which look similar like Blue. (The Evil Twin Brother that he doesn't know?)

 

If Deep Mirror is the one responsible for everything, it won't be a surprise that he is the final boss at the finale. When the generals were about to be purified, Deep Mirror immediately reminded of their hatred and anger which I am seeing a similar scenario like the Desert Trio who are once good but turned evil due to failures in their lives.

 

The Shining Make Dresser is not an impressive power up yet since now it just gave the girls a boost in their powers but not a complete form change. I am guessing it will take another few more episodes before the Shining Make Dresser reveal it's true power and gave the girls the power needed to defeat the generals and Queen Mirage. I agreed this week's battle is pretty boring but it is probably there were a lot of issues to explain in this episode.

 

 

 

Now Phantom is back and he came up with a plan! He created an evil doppelganger of Cure Lovely and tried to confuse the girls! Can the girls figure it out before their problems become twice as hard? See you next week to find out!
