Tropical Rouge Precure Ep 3 Review: Glittering Jewels! Cure Coral has arrived!

Hi, Everyone! This is my review of Tropical Rouge Precure Episode 3 and how Sango become Cure Coral in this episode!

Manatsu is still pounding on which club she should join as she is interested in trying out everything which Sango and her three classmates, Kiriko, Naomi and Yumi agreed that it is impossible for Manatsu to do everything.

Sure, Manatsu, if your accounts are as large as the richer cures...

On their off day, Manatsu was ready to meet Sango and the others to hang out and she even asked Laura if she wants to come along. Laura tried to act all proud and declined but in truth, she really wants to join her. Manatsu was enjoying themselves although Sango seems to have problems telling the others what she really likes instead of just following the flow with the others.

Oh Manatsu, you never failed to make me question your choices...

Sango did show her kindness by offering her Strawberry/Chocolate Ice cream to a little girl who was disappointed that Sango earlier took the last one. Later the girls went to the aquarium where Sango got lost with the others and found Laura swimming alone in a small tank.

Sango was surprised to meet a real-life Mermaid like Laura and commented to her how cute she was. (Which got Laura all full of herself) Laura tried to get Sango to open the Tropical Pact but it didn't budge which got Laura disappointed. The others were looking for Sango and Laura immediately returned to her Aqua Mermaid Pot. The girls minus Manatsu agreed that Mermaids might have similar faces like Dugongs which got Sango all frustrated which later back at home, she wants to tell the others that Mermaids are really pretty...

The next day, Manatsu and Sango went up to the rooftop during break and she told Manatsu when she was in kindergarten, she chooses a purple flower instead of following the other kids which got all her alienated a bit and is feeling a lack of self-confidence. Laura immediately told her off (While causing a ruckus) that she should believe herself and the choices she made. Sango now knows Manatsu's secret of being a Precure and while Manatsu wanted Sango to be a Precure, Laura shot her down that Sango does not show the signs of being one.

Chongire appeared again and turned a recycle bin into a Yaranede that started sucking all the motivation from the people in the park. Manatsu rushed into the park to help while Sango told her classmates that Mermaids are not responsible for the Yaranede's appearance.

Manatsu transformed into Cure Summer and began battling the Yaranede. Sango appeared and told them that she wants to believe in herself which created a ring on her hand. The Tropical Pact reacted to Sango and she transformed into Cure Coral!

Victory! I did it!

Cure Coral was able to create Cross Shield that protects the Yaranede. The two Cures then took down the Yaranede with ease. Cure Summer's lipstick also creates a new Heart Rouge Rod for Cure Sango. She then used her special attack- Mokoko Coral Diffusion that surrounds the Yaranede and purified it.

After the battle, the two girls joined the others and continue their shopping together. Sango selected a purple whale as a charm which the others agreed. Manatsu and Laura also welcome Sango as part of the team now...

Yes, I am aware that there's a special ending with Team Healin' dancing with Team Tropical Rouge...

We do get to know how Sango's character is. On the surface, she is a nice and kind girl but she has a few self-confidence issues like how she was the "odd" one who chooses a different colour for her flower and felt not "part of the group" (We all have that kind of moments sometimes) It was Laura's peaking that got Sango to get her act together since Sango has to believe in her choices and be confident about it.

Laura is also not honest about herself as shown in the beginning, she tried to act tough of declining Manatsu's offer to follow but in reality, she wants to join her since she is all alone in the human world but then, we won't have an arrogant and proud Laura to make fun with.

Cure Coral's debut is adorable especially with the Sailor hat on her head. She acts as the team's Tank as she can create shields that looked like X signs to protect against attacks. Her special attack- Mokoko Coral Diffusion is basically hundreds of Corals with hearts wrapping around the enemy and blowing out from inside which if you think about it is basically being wrapped by love and get blown up into pieces.

Overall, a sweet introduction to our second member of Team Tropical Rouge! In the next episode, the girls read a book about mermaids written by second-year student Minori and she is our third cure-Cure Papaya! Until then, stay safe and see you in the next post!
