Healin' Good Precure Ep 14 Review: The Secret of Sukoyaka Town

Hi everyone! This is Episode 14 of Healin' Good Precure and the town is having their annual street festival!

Nodoka and her parents went to visit the doctor at the hospital and the doctor was pleased to inform her that she is in good health and does not need further medical attention. Her parents were happy for Nodoka and as they walked back home, the town was celebrating their street festival.

Guaiwara offered his favourite snack to Batetmoda which he accepted it and even suck up to Guaiwara even though he has his own ulterior motives which Guaiwara nearly overheard it...

Nodoka, Rabbirn and Latte went to the festival and meet Hinata and Chiyu there. The girls then went to enjoy the sweets and goods at the festival. They even bought half a dozen of the Sukoyaka Manju which is the town's speciality and relaxed at a foot spring.

Nodoka told the other two girls that she has recovered from her illness and they were happy for her. They then continued to enjoy the festival as the three Healing animals found a pamphlet of a Loud Mouth contest which the top prize is 100 pieces of Sukoyaka Manju.

The girls overheard that the steamer for the Sukoyaka Manju has broken down and the stall owner was unable to produce any more Manju. The other stall owners offered to help including the girls and they were able to make more Manju for the customers.

An Elderly lady told the girls that the residents of Sukoyaka town always have a kind spirit to help others which were passed down years ago when the town was formed.

Batetemoda arrived and he corrupted the Wind Element Spirit on a mini fan into a Megabyogen. It started attacking the festival and the girls quickly transform to battle.

The Megabyogen used its large fans to blow the girls into the forest and tried to blow them further until Cure Fortaine and Cure Sparkle knocked it off. But the Megabyogen blow them back to the festival and Cure Grace dropkick on Batetmoda's face.

The girls were determined to protect the festival and Cure Sparkle used her new Lighting Element Bottle to paralyse the Megabyogen and finished it off with Healing Oasis.

After Batetmoda retreated, the girls asked the Wind Element Spirit how she was feeling and it replied that it has been a long time since it saw a Precure. Rabbirn then remembers that it could be the Legendary Precure who was once Queen Tiatine's partner. The spirit then explained that the Legendary Precure came from the same town as them and she used her music to heal the townspeople, animals and even the element spirits.

The girls especially Nodoka were surprised by this new discovery of their town. Rabbirin then told the girls to enter the Loud Mouth contest to win the prize which Nodoka won as she shouted that she is happy to be alive to experience this moment.

The girls later enjoyed their prize of 100 Sukoya Manju together...

Despite a simple premise of the girls enjoying the festival together, we did get some interesting hints in this episode. Sukoyaka town has been around for a very long time and the townspeople really have the kind and helpful spirit as shown when the other stall owners help to create more Sukoyaka Manju.

Of course, the big reveal was Queen Tiatine's human partner is a girl that used to be a resident of Sukoyaka town and she used her music to heal others which probably explained why she was chosen to become a Precure. (Furthermore, Bandai just ruined the surprise by showing a commercial of the new Precure, Cure Earth and what she can do)

As I said before in my previous episode, Batetemoda has his motives and play the fool among the rest of the generals since he wants to show off his superiority by making himself the leader of the Byogen Kingdom and probably replacing the other generals.

Overall, an okay episode with some interesting hints for future episodes. In the next episode, Nodoka and Rabbirn got into a serious argument. What could be the reason and can they resolve it before the next battle? Until then, stay safe and see you in the next post!
