Kantai Collection Ep 5 Top 5 Moments and Review

Hi everyone! This is my Kantai Collection episode 5 review and a major reshuffle of the fleets has happened in the base! Let's see what happen next!

No 5: The Third Torpedo squad disbanded.

It was a pretty nice moment at night with Fubuki and her former team mates having one last hurdle before transfering to different teams. Mutsuki is with the fourth fleet, most probably she is to replace Kisaragi while Yudachi and Naka are together. We don't know what happened to Sendai and Jintsu but it couldn't be worse than Fubuki who ended up with the oddest group of characters in her new Fifth Mobile Unit.

No 4: Akagi mentioned Operation FS.

The reason why the Admiral ordered a major reshuffle was due to the upcoming Operation FS. In the actual historical timeline, Operation FS was the plan to invade Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia in the south Pacific. However the operation was postponed due to the Japanese losing in the Battle of Midway. In Kantai, the operation is to disrupt the sea lanes of the Abyssals and hopefully find the location of their main base which we might be getting it in a future episode.

No 3: Meet the new Fifth Mobile Unit!

Fubuki has the most unfortunate to be with some of the fleets' strong headed girls. Fubuki was scared stiff by Oichi's possessive behaviour as she was chased out for "interrupting" their Yuri time together. Kaga and Zuikaku who both have very large ego since both are aircraft carriers, were grumbling at each other. Kaga who is a bit of a snob claimed that Zuikaku is inferior to her which pissed her off.

But I am guessing Kaga who has been working with Akagi for so long now has to contend with a less superior aircraft carrier like Zuikaku and Zuikaku didn't like it at all. Although Zuikaku's sister ship, Shokaku is the more reasonable one since she apologise to Kaga and Kaga didn't talk back at her. If I were to compare the two pair of aircraft carriers sisters, Akagi and Kaga are the straight and goody girls while Shokaku and Zuikaku are like Idols singers. Pick your choice for who do you want as your wife! (Hehehe!)

Of course, Kougo is in the team and her behaviour is a good welcome for the moody atmosphere for the team. Although she keep complaining there is no tea time which she is so used to with her sisters.

No 2: Training Exercise Montage!

It was very funny to see Kougo, Kaga and Zuikaku trying to compete who can be the flagship of the team and everyone ended up in the repair docks multiple times! But you can see that the girls couldn't get along due to failure to communicate and their ego getting the better of them. Kougo has Haruna as her tactician while Kaga and Zuikaku had their more experienced sister ships to lead the way. No wonder they failed so many times but the amount of explosives appeared on screen during the montage was hilarious!

No 1: Fubuki is now the Flagship of the Fifth Mobile Unit

Since this show centred around Fubuki, it is only a matter of time for her moment to happen as she showed leadership and courage when the team faced off an Abyssal patrol in the episode. Her basic training actually paid off since she got everyone organised before facing the Abyssal. At the end of the episode, everyone nominate her as the Flagship and she is probably now wondering how did she ended up being it.

Although I am suspecting that the girls just want Fubuki as a scapegoat which I am hope I am wrong since they won't have to think about ordering anyone during combat. (But that will ruined the girls' image which I am sure their fans wouldn't want to either. Except for Oichi and Kitakami whom I personally don't like them because of their Yuri moments)

Overall, I give this episode a B plus! It is nice to see the more older girls in the fleet as I was not really particular with the third torpedo squad being the main focus. Fubuki was pretty determined to get her new members together which they finally did since when things happened, someone has to stand up to take action and that was Fubuki. She might be the smallest in the group but her courage is the largest. Kudos to her!

Kaga and Zuikaku were the most problematic in the group but when Kaga make a rabbit out of a towel and Zuikaku mistaken it was Fubuki made it. However Fubuki brought these two together and they end up making towel rabbits and Kaga is eating an ice cream before going to bed. That's so girly like of her! (Cute!) Next episode, it is about the Sixth Destroyer Unit and Operation Curry Seas?! Until then, see you in the next post!

Dog Days S3 Ep 4 Top 5 Moments and Review

Hi Everyone! This is my Dog Days S3 episode 4 review and it is all about Squish Slimes! Let's get to it!

No 5: Peaceful time at Biscott and Galetta.

Shinku and Millhore started the episode playing fetch in a beautiful field of flowers. Like the first two seasons, Shinku's relationship with Millhore is like a master and his dog. Of course, the dog talk back and they share some moments together. Meanwhile, Leon got a full oil massage from Nanami and she was glowing like a shining star after the massage. Talk about a bright feline!

No 4: The Legend of the First Hero.

Adel spoke of how the first hero and his companion-a Princess and a Demon actually used the powers of the Hero, Spirit and Demon Crystal to save the land. I wonder is this foreshadowing of how Shinku, Nanami and Becky will eventually use the crystals' powers to save the land in an upcoming episode?

No 3: Adel was once a human from Earth who was summoned by Couver's ancestors.

This is interesting since Adel mentioned she has not taste Earth's food for a long time and when Becky gave her some cookies from Earth, she claimed it reminds her time on Earth before coming to Floyard which could mean a very long time ago. She even mentioned the Spirit Crystal that Nanami is holding belong to her friend, who is one of the former rulers of Pastillage.

No 2: Muni Muni Slimes Invasion.

Valarie's little creation went out of control and started eating clothes and metals in the palace. As expected, most of the girls' clothes were eaten away leaving them stark naked. I think the Genosis Trio got stark naked the most time for the last two seasons which is becoming a running gaga in the show.

No 1: Nanami, Becky and Couver combine their powers and Couver's adult form.

We get a sneak peek of how powerful when all three crystals combine their powers. Nanami and Becky created a shield around the palace to prevent the slimes from escaping. Couver with the help of Adel actually turned her into an adult form (Which she looked completely different) and help destroyed all the slimes. If this is just ten percent of the three crystal combine, what will happen if they need to fight an absolute evil? I am guessing it will be pretty hardcore and awesome!

Overall, I gave the episode a C+. It is a fan service episode as the girls were running around stark naked. However from Adel's words, I am believing that the time will come when the three heroes need to use their powers together. Looking at Adel being young, I am guessing it might come a time when one of the heroes might stay forever. I am guessing Shinku has a high chance of staying behind since he got along with many of the female characters. Next week, the gang explore a mountain mine so expect hi jinks assumed. Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Ep 4 Top 5 Moments and Review

No 5-Miku acting all Cat-like.

When Miku enter the room as our three main leads were filming for a PR video, she was behaving in a less likely behaviour. But once she saw they were filming, she quickly pull out her cat ears and started all cat like. I am guessing her cat like behaviour is more of a front to hide her real self. Although the others didn't mind, I am guessing it is going to bite back at Miku when she is in conflict with her true self and the image she show to everyone.

No 4-Kanako's snacks.

The more I look at Kanako, the more I am remind of Yabuki Kana from the Idolmaster Movie as they tend to chew on something every scene they are in. Although Kana did it due to stress related, Kanako make snacks which she have to taste it first and cause her to gain weight. Even their trainer reminded her in the previous episode that she has to be careful of her waistline which is bound to happen in future episodes.

No 3-Ranko AKA Rika from Chunibyo.

I am enjoying Uchida Maya's performances at Ranko as she played perfectly as the Chunibyo Idol. In Chunibyo, she was a victim of circumstances that turned her into a Chunibyo. But here, she is literally in character throughout.

I was laughing to myself when she want the girls to bring a machine that capture souls which is an old folks' tale of ancient people who do not know what a camera is and claimed their souls will be trapped inside the camera. Mio also started calling her RanRan which is a cute name and I am guessing she like it too in her heart.

No 2-Minami and Anya's PR Video.

I am liking more of Anya every time she appear on screen. Perhaps being the only mixed blood in the group has show off her X-factor. Despite having a language barrier, she tried her best to communicate with the others and her in a cheer leading costume definitely raise her popularity. (I know some doujins artists are probably planning to draw about her after this episode)

Minami is perhaps the most simplest among the group with her small eyes and v-shaped cheek. Perhaps it is due to age since she is the oldest in the group but then Kirarin is almost the same age as her but behave more childlike.

No 1-The chosen girls' upcoming CD recording debut.

Takeuchi (Producer-San for those who are new to my blog) announced that Uzuki, Rin and Mio are to become a unit while Anya and Minami formed a second unit. This excited the chosen girls but upset the others who have yet to shine. Takeuchi must have seen through their PR videos to make such a decision. I am not sure how Minami and Anya's vocals were but Rin has already demonstrated in the previous episode how good she can sing Mika's songs so the weakest link will be Uzuki and Mio to show how good their vocals are.

Overall, I give the episode a C+ since it is the daily life of the girls. But it focus on the rest of the girls who were pushed to the sideline for the last three episodes. If you love the rest of the girls in the group, more power to you. To me, I am enjoying seeing Ranko, Anya and Kanako beside the main three girls. But I am more excited to see how the chosen girls perform their first CD recordings in the next episode!
