Healin' Good Precure Ep 19 Review: Cure Earth Descends from the Wind! Part 1

Hi, Everyone! This is Episode 19 of Healin' Good Precure and here are my thoughts of this episode!

Before we begin, my thoughts on Episode 18 was that it was more of character development between Hinata and Nyantoran who has a crush on one Miss Orie who owned an aromatherapy shop. Even though the girls tried to help Nyantoran in getting Miss Orie to expressing his feelings, it was disappointing and hilarious that Miss Orie has a boyfriend who just arrived to prosper to her and it broke Nyantoran's heart like Yabuki Joe from Ashita no Joe. (Which explained the parody) But not until the end of the episode when Latte suddenly had a bad cold and the girls rushed to Hinata's family veterinarian clinic...

This episode is all about Latte's anxiety as she felt that she is not helping the girls in their battle against the Megabyogen. But the girls didn't mind and they were grateful for her assistance in finding the corruption when it happened. Latte also recalled what her mother, Queen Teatine told her that, one must be strong to protect the Earth which is exactly what happened when Batetemoda corrupted the Wind Element Spirit and infected a whole mountain.

The girls got captured while fighting the Megabyogen and Latte, despite her weakened state tried to fight the Megabyogen but was thrown around like a ragdoll and was about to killed by Batetemoda when Queen Teatine who could sense her daughter in danger begged the Earth to help her which the statue of her former partner rushed to save Latte!

That new person is Cure Earth and she makes quick work of the Megabyogen for the girls to finish it off. After the battle, Cure Earth revert to her human identity of Furin Asumi and create a Wind Element bottle to heal Latte and the girls began to question who she really is...

Cure Earth's debut was long overdue since she was already featured in social media as the 4th member of the team. So far my impression is a cool and tough Cure Moonlight with her more mature demeanour compared to the other three girls. She even fought with her fists and legs which I am questioning why Team Healin' isn't using more physical combat since holding the Cure Stick on one hand isn't really helping much in the combat department.

Although I have a feeling that Cure Earth might be a stick in the mud as she felt that the girls are not strong enough to her standards and Cure Earth will tell them that she could handle the upcoming battles on her own (which will definitely backfire) Plus being someone that belongs in the past, Asumi might get a cultural shock since the world has moved on without her and might be mocked as a relic or dinosaur by others.

But since this is part 1, we have to see what Cure Earth has in store for the girls as she decided that Latte should be in a safe place but from the preview of the next episode, Latte will convince her that she wants to fight beside her and they will form a new partnership together! Until then, stay safe and see you in the next post!
