A Sakura Empire fleet comprises of Yamashiro, Fuso, the Crane Sisters, Takao and her sister, Atago and Ayanami have surrounded an island of ruins with Siren Ships where Sheffield, Edinburgh and Akashi are hiding from them.

The three of them has already sent a distress signal to Azur Lane and they are on their way. Prinz Eugen, Nimi, Z1 (Leberecht) and Koln were also on the island waiting for the enemies' movements. As the Azur Lane fleet comprises of Oklahoma, Repulse and Prince of Wales carrying the girls to the island, Enterprise still has some doubts of them behaving like humans.

However, Belfast told her that it doesn't matter if they are ships or humans, the most important thing is to live a Noble and Meaningful life. Ayanami also has her doubts on what to do if she meets Javelin and Laffey again and Atago gave her a hug in her bosom just to ease her anxiety.
Soon Sheffield, Edinburgh and Akashi decided to make a break for it and the Azur Lane battleships started fighting to confuse the Red Axis. Cleveland, Belfast, Javelin and Laffey used camo gear to sneak into the island to find the maids but were confronted by Takao, Atago and Ayanami.
Zuikaku spotted Union planes and believed that Enterprise is on the battlefield too. She rushed head-on with Shoukaku behind, ignoring everyone who was trying to take them down. Sheffield and Edinburgh were attacked by the Iron Blood ships and Sheffield got hurt by torpedoes. Akashi was hiding inside a fridge. (Good idea) hoping no one spotted her.
Javelin and Laffey refused to fight Ayanami despite her giving everything she got. Cleveland takes on the Takao sisters as Belfast rushed to her sisters' aid. Prinz Eugen thought that Belfast was foolish to take on them however Belfast has already foreseen this move and out of nowhere, Enterprise was on the high ground taking aim at the Iron Blood fleet.
The Crane sisters also realised it was a trick since it was Hornet who send out the Union planes and not Enterprise. Prinz Eugen told her fleet to retreat since they know they can't take down Enterprise themselves.
Ayanami raises her sword at Laffey but she was unmoved. Instead, Laffey raises her hand as a sign of friendship. Ayanami told her they are enemies but Laffey claimed it doesn't matter they are enemies and just want to be her friend. Javelin also realised that she too wants to be friends with Ayanami...
This week episode is basically fighting everywhere and I like it. I like how the girls don't have to be in their gear all the time and can use the powers of the actual warships to do battle. Furthermore, the idea of having Helena and San Diego who have excellent Anti Air skills to be on the deck of Oklahoma and starting firing away the Crane sisters' planes was pretty good.
Seeing more new ships like Lebrecht, Koln, Repulse, Oklahoma and another of my favourite Sakura ship, Atago which is a fan favourite because of her teasing and carefree personality (She is actually the 2nd sister to Takao and love her teasing to Takao since Takao is a bit of a stubborn character)
I also like how Belfast is the voice of reason and even give a nice speech of how as ship girls and humans should live a meaningful life which is probably what Enterprise need to find it with herself and at the end of the episode, Enterprise kinda understand what is going on between Belfast and her sisters and how she should live her life.
Laffey is also a smart person despite her sleepy attitude since she really wants to make friends with Ayanami and didn't care about alliances which got Javelin and maybe Ayanami realise they might be fighting for the wrong cause. I also think the Sakura Empire fleet for this mission were fed with wrong information like Akashi was kidnapped by the maids and the Siren ships were controlled by the Orochi system but it was really Akagi working with the Siren Observer for their own agendas.
Will Ayanami is taken aback by Laffey and change sides? Will Azur Lane find out about the secret of the Black Cube and the Orochi system? Will Akashi be able to set up a store in Azur Lane island? Until then, see you in the next post!
