What am I looking for this Summer? As you can tell from the title of this post, Berserk is finally moving forward after more than ten years. When the first TV series came out years ago, I was expecting to see more of Guts but instead we were treated not one prequel but two prequels from the remake trilogy of movies that came out two or three years ago. Being a long time fan of the manga, (and wondering when the author is going to end it) fans are finally getting to see why Guts is one of the most hardcore anime characters of all time.
Of course, Shokugeki no Souma, Active Raid, Fate Kaleid and Show by Rock are shows that I am also anticipating. Love Live Sunshine looked a bit similar, seeing that the characters are near carbon copies of the original series but I will get a better opinion once the show air.
Handa Kun which I enjoyed Bakamon previously is also on my watch list, Masou Gakuen HxH looked similar to High School DxD in terms of tone and art style (But I am not complaining about it)
The rest of the shows as usual I will watch the first three episodes before deciding what is good or at least decent to watch. What are your anticipated shows for this summer? Until then, see you in July for the new shows!
