Smile Precure Ep 10-The Secret to a Good Okonomayki is...

Akane's father injured his back and is hospitalised. He was worried about their Okonomayki store which Akane volunteered to take over the store on his behalf.

Meanwhile, Wolfrun was hungry and decided to go to the Human world for some Okonomayki after reading a  food magazine. Akane told the others about handling the store and explained on Sunday, a famous gourmet critic who is a regular customer will drop by their store. The girls decided to try Akane's Okonomayki and see if it is up to standards.

Akane cooked some Okonomayki for the girls and they like it. Akane's younger brother Genki returned home and she introduced him to them. Genki tasted her Okonomayki and claimed it doesn't have the same taste as their father cooked it. He claimed that their father has a secret formula in making it delicious.

I am cooking a pudding on a hot plate!

The manager is pretty calm seeing a humanoid wolf talking to her.

She agreed and the girls helped her find the perfect taste. However after several tries, they couldn't get the right taste. Later Wolfrun was unable to find any food because of his appearance and was starving. Akane asked her father again however he refused to tell her anything which annoyed her further.

The eyecatch is different this week and it is Akanbe!

Furthermore, they have to set up a stall in the town centre in three days time and Akane was still unable to find the correct taste. Her mother asked if she remembered cooking an Okonomayki (which was charred) when she was sick. But Akane claimed it was a failure. Her mother told her that her father always give his best when cooking Okonomayki and remind her about it.

Akane's family set up the store with Miyuki and Yayoi helping out. Akane, Nao and Reika were finishing the Okonomayki and were sending it over when Wolfrun saw what was going on. He sucked the Bad End energy from everyone in the town centre which the girls quickly transformed.

Wolfrun created an Akanbe from a pot and brush and it shoot out sauce which harded on impact. It caught Cure Sunny while Cure March protect Cure Happy and Peace with a large Parasol. Wolfrun saw the Okonomayki and started eating it.

The Akanbe became bigger due to Wolfrun having more energy and trapped Cure March, Happy and Peace to a wall. Wolfrun ate all the Okonomayki and claimed that it taste bad which upset Cure Sunny. Cure Happy argued that Cure Sunny make it with all her heart and give her very best to cook it. Cure Sunny then realised what was the secret formula and quickly asked Cure Beauty to fire Beauty Blizzard on her.

I am all fired up!!!!

This should be called Sunny Upper!

Cure Beauty fire Beauty Blizzard on her as she charge her body with fire which extinguished the hard ed sauce. Cure Sunny immediately dash forward and uppercut the Akanbe with all her might to the sky. She then finished the Akanbe with Sunny Fire and it turned into a new decor.

After Wolfrun retreated, everything went back to normal. Akane cooked the Okonomayki for the Gourmet Critic who enjoyed it very much. Her father came back from the hospital and she proudly announced she know the secret of his Okonomayki. She teased her father saying she will keep it a secret while the girls laughed about it...

So there was no secret formula but it was just good old hard work that got Akane to make a good Okonomayki. We also get to see Akane's family and it was kind of hard for me to hear them speaking in Osaka dialect through out. Anyway her mother is voiced by Yukino Satsuki who did Hibiki's mother from Suite Precure (That makes Akane and Hibiki related?) Genki is voiced by Shiraishi Ryoko who can do a very good Osaka accent.

Oddly enough the battle with the Akanbe was a bit different. Usually the heroine of the episode will not get caught in some traps but Cure Sunny was caught in the sauce together with Happy, Peace and March. It was also Cure Sunny's ingenious to ask Cure Beauty to fire her attack on her which extinguished the sauce. At least, they don't have to rely on Happy every time and by the way, she and Peace were useless in this story. Cure March had to protect them with a Parasol, thank to her quick thinking.

Overall, this episode was all right for me with one point that I like to mention-Akane is definitely better looking than Rin. (No offense to any Rin fans!)

There is a bug on you, Nao!

Next week, the girls got shrunk which is a tribute to the Rick Moranis movie-Honey, I shrunk the kids. Even the place that the girls are is a backyard filled with all sort of insects and Nao has a fear of bugs?!

Fate Zero S2 Ep 1-Rise of the Caster Sea Monster Part 2

Saber and Rider began to battle the Sea Monster however it's tentacles keep regenerating making it difficult for them. Meanwhile Kirei reported the matter to his father who ordered him to assist Tokiomi and Archer at scene.

A fog covered the river making bystanders curious about it and unable to see the Sea Monster. Tokiomi asked Archer to battle the Sea Monster but he refused due to his pride.  He shot down four swords from his Gate of Babylon at the monster and decided to leave.

Two F-15 tried to engage the Sea Monster and one of them got devoured by it. The remaining plane was taken over by Berserker and began to battle Archer. Tokiomi descended to find Kariya who was on a rooftop.

As the two servants battled, Kariya demanded an explanation from Tokiomi asking why he gave up Sakura to the Mutou Family. His explanation is only one of his children can become his heir and the other is treated as rabbles. He even claimed he will rather have his children battled each other so as to honor his ancestors. Kariya called him insane and used his bugs to attack him while Kirei was watching everything from behind.

Meanwhile Ryunosuke was enjoying the sight when he was shot in the stomach by Emiya's rifle. He fired another shot to Ryunosuke's head and killed him. Caster saw it and decided to kill everything in sight.

Emiya reported to Maya of the situation and suggested that the only way to kill the Sea Monster is to destroy with one blow. However it lies with Saber who hold the key to that....

Finally, we are back and we haven't get to the fun part yet! While Saber and Rider battled the Sea Monster, you can tell both Archer and Tokiomi are egotistic. Archer refused to battle claiming it is not worth him lifting his sword. Tokiomi treated his family like pawns and is willing to sacrifice them for the pursue of greater power. He even mocked Kariya that if he have not given up magic in the first place then Sakura won't be sacrificed.

Ryunosuke was killed by Emiya which I won't be sympathise him and now with Caster going out of control, the only hope of defeating him lies with Saber but what could it be? Your guess is good as mine if you have been watching FSN! Clue: Saber vs Berserker in FSN.

P.S; Review of Smile Precure and other new shows will be out either tonight or tomorrow as I am engaged outside. Catch you later!

First Impressions: Sankarea Ep 1, Sengoku Collection Ep 1 and Natsuiro Kiseki Ep 1

Before we wait patiently for Fate Zero Season 2 Episode 1 to be out, let's see what other new shows that was on the last two days.

Sankarea Ep 1: Chihiro has a serious obsession with zombies and wish to have a zombie girl as his girlfriend. But when his pet cat was killed in an road accident, he decided to bring it back to life by using a book of spells. He saw an unhappy rich girl, Sanka Rae who has family problems and they share the secret together. Until Rae asked if Chirhiro can bring her back to life if she died...

She is coming to get you, Chihiro (Remember that line from Night of the Living Dead?)

I read the first volume of the manga and the fun only start when Rae was really brought back to life as a zombie. Not the flesh eating kind of zombie but rather something similar to Ayumu from Zombie Desu Ka. Currently the pacing is slow at the moment and the next episode showed Rae's possessive father who did something on her which he regret it. I will take another look at it before making any decisions.

Do you have Balls, Brother!?

Sengoku Collection Ep 1: So instead of a girl from our time going to the Sengoku Era (See Sengoku Paradox), we have warriors coming to our world instead. Oda Nobunaga who is supposed to die fell into a time slip and landed on a guy, Ota and he is struck with her tagging along. After stopping an armed robber by arguing with the robber and calling him a guy with no balls (Really!) Ota brought her back home and slowly learned about our world. When she found out from three spiritual beings who told her that she must claimed magical spheres from warriors who have also landed in our world, her ambition raised away and began her conquest to find the spheres and returned home...

Seriously, we went from One Dimension Tokugawa from Brave 10 to this little girl?

An interesting first episode, thought it fell under the fish out of water story but Oda is not spoilt and maintain her composure even in this world. Her nickname is "Sweet Little Devil" and not the "Sixth Day Devil King" like most Sengoku series like to refer him or her to. Next episode it focus on Tokugawa Ieyasu who has also landed in our world.

Natsuiro Kiseki Ep 1: Or Summer Miracle is about four girls, Natsumi, Saki, Yuka and Rinko who are childhood friends and used to wish on a wishing stone that is suppose to make their dream come true. However Natsumi and Saki had an argument over tennis practice which Saki finally confess that she is moving to Tokyo with her family. Yuka and Rinko tricked the other two into coming to the wishing stone and when they all looked at the sky, the wishing stone send the four girls flying in the air and for a moment, they felt a sense of togetherness. But Saki refuse to change her mind about leaving and left them..

First, we have the Seiyu group Sphere doing the four girls. Kotobuki Minako as Tomboy Natsumi, Takagaki Ayahi as Proud Saki, Tomatsu Haruka as Hyper Yuka and Toyosaki Aki as Subtle Rinko. I  thought Kotobuki will be more suitable as Saki as she did arrogant roles like Blue Rose from Tiger and Bunny and Takagaki should play Natsumi as she is used to playing boyish roles. Tomatsu and Toyosaki are fine as I love them doing when they perform characters that I like.

The story itself is not really 100% slice of life but a bit of 10% of supernatural origin in it. I didn't expect the wishing stone really make them fly up but it does what it can to tighten the bonds between the girls. So with Saki leaving them, can the other girls able to treasure their friendship during the start of their summer holidays? I guess you have to watch the remaining 11 or 12 episodes to find out...

So we have quite a number of new titles already but I know a lot of people are still waiting to find out more about Fate Zero Season 2 so hopefully by tomorrow or Monday, I get a review to talk about. Until then, See you!
