Healin' Good Precure Ep 45 Final Review: A Healing Future!

Hi, Everyone! This is the final episode of Healin' Good Precure and the girls are invited to the Healing Garden for the first time!

The three girls with their bags were waiting at the lighthouse when their partners arrived to bring them to the Healing Garden. They were amazed by it's restored glory and even meet the statue of Queen Teatine's human partner.

Asumi and Latte also welcome them and Latte was able to say the girls' names. (Although she called Rabirn a Suama which is a Japanese Pink Sweet) Queen Teatine arrived and welcome the girls to the garden. The other Healing animals also arrived to welcome and the girls brought out their gifts which happened to be all Sukoyaka Sweet Buns and they shared with everyone else.

Pegitan seems very protected of Chiyu...

The girls were enjoying their hospitality by the Healing animals. Later, Asumi showed them a part of the garden which is still being affected by King Byogen after more than a year. An elderly monkey named Saruro appeared out of the affected area and was displeased to see humans here.

Saruro claimed that Queen Teatine is too naive to trust humans as he held in contempt that humans are also responsible for damaging the Earth and should also get purified like the Byogens. Suddenly a Byogen which was hiding among the buns affected the buns and turned into six Megabyogens.

The Meagbyogen held some young Healing animals hostage as the girls rushed to transform. As they were trying their best to save the hostages which include Cure Earth refusing to destroy the sweet buns. (What the hell?) Saruro again showed his contempt for the humans and how the humans brought their troubles to the garden.

Latte refused to admit defeat and used her power to summon Cure Summer into the garden. Cure Summer managed to save the hostages but got knocked out in the process. Cure Grace, Fontaine and Sparkle held the Megabyogens together and they agreed that humans are responsible for damaging the Earth but humans are also willing to change to make it better. Queen Teatine agreed with Saruro that she will purify the humans as a last resort but humans have the possibility to change their future.

Your new toy for this Season, Cure Summer!

The girls then purified the Megabyogen with Healing Arrow and woke up Cure Summer. A special Latte Ring appeared and Cure Summer took it. She then returned back to the portal created by Latte and hope to see Team Healin' again.

The girls then bid farewell and promise to make the Earth a better place. Asumi even offered a sweet bun to Saruro which he softened up. When the girls returned back to Earth, they swore to protect the Earth as long as they live as the camera showed a beautiful blue Ocean...

We finally reached the finale for Healin' Good and compare to Star Twinkle, it was a major improvement despite the many delays and the current real-life situation. I also gave kudos to the Staffs and Seiyuus who gave their all to make it possible. This season also gave up the Christmas and New Year episodes which is a usual stable in the series but we can't be choosers.

Although this epilogue episode did not give any closure for the villains which means they are really gone for good. I also like it has an environmental message at the end of taking care of the Earth. Queen Teatine even admitted that humans are responsible for damaging the Earth but she knows the good in people and the potentials to create a better future.

We also see the other three girls' partial transformation.

Cure Summer's cameo was expected and she is full of energy despite crashing onto a Megabyogen and getting knocked out like a ragdoll the next moment. Hopefully, Tropical Rouge Precure will have a smooth year and not get delayed like Team Healin' did.

Final Thoughts: I will say this season has the potentials to be my top five Precure series if it wasn't because of Covid-19. Let's start with the four main girls starting with my least favourite, Cure Earth/Asumi. For me, I never really like the idea of the Sixth Ranger member to appear out of nowhere and joined the team without any previous development or encounters with the girls. Asumi is no expectation. Even though she has the splitting image of Queen Teatine's human partner, her personalities are like an infant with no common sense in her.

Even though this leads to some comical moments of her adjusting human cultural but after that, she was really bland which is disappointing since her Seiyuu, Mimori Suzoku is a very versatile Seiyuu as she can play calm characters like Umi from Love Live and is the Japanese voice of Pinkie Pie from MLP: Friendship is Magic.

Next is Cure Fontaine/Chiyu. She is similar to many of the calm Blue Precures before her with her good nature and physical talents. Also like many Blue Precures, she also struggles to find her goal in life but it seems she chooses to be an athletic and to take over the family Onsen business. Pegitan is adorable as the worrywart partner but he also proves to be a man to support Chiyu and even once help a little girl to overcome her shyness despite not showing his face to her.

Cure Sparkle/Hinata is the comic relief and her episodes are the most fun to watch. She has a bubbly personality and when she makes a mistake, she apologized that show her honesty. She is also the mood maker of the group who comes up with all the wacky ideas with her partner Nyatoran who also share her sense of adventure.

Finally, we have Cure Grace/Nodoka who is a darling and is up there as one of my favourite Precure of all time. Her life before the series was a nightmare as she has to endure being hospitalised for so long that at the beginning of the series, she wants to live life to the fullest. This also showed her enthusiasms and kindness to others and non-hesitation to become a Precure in the first episode. It also helped that Aoi Yuki is voicing her that makes everyone want to protect and take care of this fragile flower. Nodoka also displayed very incredible willpower and smartness especially the revelation of her illness which was caused by Daizuren and how she knows that if she gave in to his pleading, what harm will cause Nodoka and her family they will have to go through again. Although we never see the girls in adulthood I will guess that Nodoka will probably become a doctor or someone in the medical field since she respects those in the medical field that help her before.

Rabirin is also worrisome but she has her reasons for not wanting Nodoka to become a Precure in the beginning since she is putting an innocent person to face dangers every day. But as the series progress, they learn to respect and understand despite some misunderstands like the Daruma doll episode, I was very touched by their farewell in the end and as I said before, Toei should let Kakuma Ai who voiced Rabirin to be a Precure in a future series since she is very versatile like Mimori Suzoku who can perform young girls or mature characters very well.

Despite limited character developments, the Byogen generals and King Byogen did their parts and surprisingly enough, this season tried to have another general like the scheming Batetemoda but he was quickly defeated after Cure Earth's appearance and I was expecting him to return in another shape or form but we are regulated to the original three generals. Guaiwaru didn't just play the muscle-bound villain only but did use his brains to test out the Megaparts and his scheme to take over King Byogen was a bit left-fielded since the scheming part is more to scheming type generals. Unfortunately, we don't have any after Batetemoda's demise.

Shinodine was the worst developed since she is just love-obsessed with King Byogen and not knowing his true motives. She is also the most easily fooled since it took one wrong name by Cure Sparkle to get her defeated and is she still inside Asumi's body after all these times?

Daizuren is of course the most developed among the generals since he has a connection with Nodoka as she is the host that incubate him when he is just a small Byogen and the cause of Nodoka's illness. Daizuren also continues to taunt her every time they meet to the point, it is starting to get creepy. But then Daizuren also got he deserves when he refuses to be absorbed by King Byogen since that will take away his free will and plead with Nodoka to hide in her body. When she refused, he calls her a hypocrite but then Nodoka make the right call not to fall into his trap which Daizuren finally became a puppet for King Byogen and was purified together with him in the previous episode.

Overall, this season has a lot of ups and downs due to the current situation and Toei even had to restore to re-run the previous episodes just to keep the time slot occupied until new episodes can be made. Even the new episodes felt out of place as they are more padding till Guaiwaru's scheme came to place which is pretty late to the series. Many of the questions were also not answered like where did King Byogen come from? How the generals were created? Why the town was the epic centre for the previous Precure and Queen Teatine?

Thanks, Team Healin'! See you in the Movies!

Despite all the shortcomings and obstacles that Toei has to overcome, the series is finally completed with at least a good ending and a message of coming together to heal the Earth which is what we really need to do so that everything can go back to normal. So we thanks Team Healin' for this one year for teaching how to take care of the Earth and we welcome Team Tropical Rouge to begin the brand new season! Until then, take care and see you in the next post!
