After getting another signal from their Star Pendant, the girls arrived at the Rainbow Planet however the planet looked dead and they discovered the natives has all turned into stone statues.
Hikaru leaned against a wall and she went right through it. The girls realised it is a hologram and saw more natives (who looked like miners) as statues. They finally reached the end of the cave and saw a pile of treasures and the Gemini Princess pen in it.
Suddenly Aiwan and Bakanyan arrived and Aiwan revealed that she was responsible for turning the natives into statues after her experiment with the corrupted pens went wrong. However she did not regret it and taunt the natives for being stupid.
The girls went into battle and during the fight, Aiwan held Fuwa hostage however Bakanyan advise Aiwan not to stood to such means. Fuwa was able to smell a familiar scent from Bakanyan and it was actually Blue Cat in disguise!
Blue Cat explained that she infiltrated as Bakanyan to get more information about the Princess Pens and the cause of Rainbow Planet since she is also a native of Rainbow Planet!
Aiwan immediately turned a miner into a Knot Trigger and they fought outside! Blue Cat tried to stop her but was knocked out! However Cure Milky arrived and she understand what Blue Cat is going through and told her that the natives can be restored back since they still have "emotions" despite being turned into statues.
Blue Cat told the girls to cover their eyes as she threw a flash grenade at the Knot Trigger causing Aiwan to drop the Gemini Princess pen and the corrupted Aries pen. Cure Milky retrieved the Gemini Princess pen but Aiwan got back the Aries Princess pen.
Cure Milky used the new pen to fire Gemini Milky Shock and the girls finished it with Southern Cross Shot. After Aiwan retreated and the revival of the Gemini Princess, the girls offered to help Blue Cat but she declined. She suddenly threw a smoke bomb and stole all the Princess pens from the girls and even abducted Fuwa.
Blue Cat claimed that the Southern Cross Shot didn't restore the miner back to normal and she need all the Princess Pens to grant her wish-The revival of Rainbow Planet...
As we all guess, Blue Cat is indeed a native of Rainbow Planet and her hatred of Aiwan since she was responsible for turning the natives into statues. It was also interesting that Blue Cat is also Bakanyan and she was able to keep up with this act for so long! No wonder Blue Cat/Bakanyan declined to get a power up from Darkness in Episode 10 since that will blow her cover immediately!
Of course, you can cover your appearances but Fuwa has a strong scent of smell and was able to reveal Blue Cat's disguise! I love it that Cure Milky was the voice of reason when she protected Blue Cat since they are both aliens who lost their home planets.
But then Blue Cat decided to be a loner and stole the Princess pens and Fuwa in order to grant her wish. But then this is Precure where friendship is more powerful than solo.
As the preview already spoilt for next episode, Blue Cat finally realised she can't do it alone and need the girls' help. She will be granted another chance and become Cure Cosmos! However we will be only able to see Cure Cosmos two weeks later as Star Twinkle will be taking a one week break! (Damn it!) Until then, see you in the next post!
My thoughts on Ep 18: Hikaru's mother should fire her editor for making her going through a hard time on her manga debut and her father is still alive and apparently travelling around the world.
