No 5: A Fluffy Encounter!

Our main heroine, Hoshina Hikaru was stargazing in her room and even created her self proclaimed Constellation (which later she named it Fuwa) when suddenly her notebook glowed and out came a cute fluffy creature named Fuwa!
Hikaru was completely into Fuwa and Fuwa used her powers to create a portal which looked like another dimension. Hikaru was amazed by the surroundings although her eyes caught onto a planet that has a dark aura around it.

| Hikaru's mother is voiced by Kojima Sachiko who voiced Miyo in Happiness Charge Precure and her grandmother is voiced by Ichiryusai Harumi which sounds unfamilar but her alias name is Asagami Yoko who voiced Saeko of City Hunter and Mori Yuki of Original Space Battleship Yamato Series. |
However Hikaru woke up and thought it was a dream. But it isn't since Fuwa reappeared and left the house! Hikaru rushed down and greeted her mother and grandparents before leaving to find Fuwa.
No 4: Doughnuts bring anyone (even aliens) together!
Along the way, Hikaru meet the owner of the local observatory, Ryoutarou (I guess that is his name based on the end credits) and he was amazed that Hikaru has such observations skills to make her own constellations.
I am suspecting that Ryoutarou might be someone related to Lala or the Knot Raiders since it is kinda of obvious how Hikaru looked up to Ryoutarou. Hikaru found Fuwa after Hikaru was preparing to eat a doughnut and the two of them hit along well.

Fuwa had a dream and several ladies in colorful dresses told Fuwa that she is the last hope and Fuwa flow away into space. Although it has been confirmed that the ladies are the Star Princesses which Team Star Twinkle will have to search all 12 Star Princesses to save the universe in the future.

Fuwa could sense Lala and Prunce who are escaping from the Knot Raiders in their spaceship and immediately summon them to Earth. Hikaru was filled with excitement to see a real alien (It is also funny that Lala had to barf after a rocky landing)
Lala's sidekick, Prunce introduced themselves since Lala was unable to communicate in Japanese. However they were interrupted by the Knot Raiders with their general, Kappard. (I can't really take him seriously because of that bald spot on his forehead and despite him having a cool voice-he is voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya who voiced Orga of Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans and Reiner of Attack of Titan)
Lala and Prunce knew that the Knot Raiders are after Fuwa and took her into the spaceship to escape. Hikaru followed them and soon arrive at the outer hemisphere of Earth. But before Hikaru could enjoy the view, the Knot Raiders fired at their spaceship and sucked Fuwa out to space.

Hikaru rushed out to save her knowing she might suffocate but Fuwa protected her with her aura. Kappard tried to snatch Fuwa but Hikaru's feelings awaken Fuwa's powers and her notebook became the Twinkle Book and Hikaru was granted the Star Color Pen and Pendant!
No 1: Cure Star's Maiden Battle!
With it, Hikaru transformed into Cure Star and battle Kappard and the Knot Ray Minions! Cure Star was able to take down the minions with ease since she created platform from her feet to move in space.
Kappard attacked her but Cure Star used her special attack-Pretty Cure Star Punch (Love her doing the Popeye rotation screw before punching her attack) and Kappard retreated. After the battle, Hikaru want to befriend Lala and Fuwa granted Lala the ability to speak Japanese. Fuwa also hide inside the Twinkle Book like a second home. Suddenly the spaceship went out of control and started crashing back to Earth.
Erena and Madoka were minding their business when they saw the spaceship from a distance(Thinking it was a meteor) and the spaceship landed in the hills...
After the dramatic ending of Hugtto Precure, we had some funny moments for this debut episode! I still have to get used to Hikaru's high pitched voice but her actions and positive attitude was fun to watch since she get excited over the mysterious and probably anything out of the ordinary! That is probably why she didn't ran away from Lala when she first landed and just went all curious like a cat!
Her debut battle was all right and we finally get a Space Theme Precure which many people have suggested before in the past. Although we yet to know more of the Knot Raiders but we are getting a treasure hunt storyline with the Star Princesses. (I realise that Hugtto Precure has little focus on their merchandises so I am guessing Toei and Bandai need to get back the money after their all star team up movies by promoting more toys this season)
Lala was all right since we have yet to see her personality although based on her profile, she is pretty mature for her age which I guess will clash with Hikaru's wacky sense in the future. Fuwa was cute and pretty powerful in creating portals to other dimensions. She behave like a pet unlike Hug-Tan which is a baby. Prunce was okay even though I am used to hearing Hiroyuki Yoshino playing A-holes in every show that I watched.

Overall, a fun start which has Happiness Charge feel to it but hopefully the show could carry on their own merits and not to be compared with Hugtto Precure that raise the scale so high. Next week, after seeing Cure Star in action, Lala also wish to become a Precure for her own reasons. Until then, see you in the next post!
