Kira Kira Precure Ala Mode Ep 20 Review: Give me some Honey!

Let's Cooking! This is my review of Kira Kira Precure episode 20 and today Ichika follow Ciel in some ingredients hunting!

Continue from last episode, Ichika was still determined to get Ciel to be her master which of course, Ciel declined however she allowed Ichika, Himari and Aoi to follow her to get some raw ingredients in the forest.

Although Himari and Aoi lose them, Ichika get to see Ciel's excellent choices of raw ingredients and slip out of how she used to come here often. Later everyone met in an Apiary where Ciel wanted to get some high grade honey from the owner.

Hot Mother!! (Make a Doujin about her now!!)

The owner's son was holding a book about a bear and his honey which Ichika explained that she too enjoyed the story. When Ichika was craving for some pancakes, Ciel decided to make some. It soon attracted a crowd and both girls were doing their best to make some pancakes.

Morfun got turned into a Pancake!

Ichika is not getting anywhere when the farmer's boy started cheering for her. She got an inspiration and created the bear pancakes. Suddenly Bibury arrived and started to suck all the Kiraru energy from the pancakes.

Ciel tried to confront Bibury but is captured by her monster. The girls transformed and save Ciel. She was speechless by the Precures and the girls quickly make short work out of Bibury.

The word is "Normal"

After the battle, Ichika served her pancakes to the farmer's family. Ciel could sense the Kiraru energy from the family ate Ichika's pancakes but yet she doesn't feel a thing after tasting Ichika's pancakes. Ciel commented that it was normal which disappointed Ichika but she was not giving up yet. Ciel however sense that there is something special about Ichika...

We continue to explore more about Ciel and of course, the hint she accidentally slip of how she used to come to the forest which is obviously that she is also a spirit like Pekorin. Ichika is still determined to become Ciel's student but it look like Ichika might not even need to since she has the talents all along.

Sure, she might not have Ciel's fancy skills but Ichika's imagination and creativity is more than a match for her. Ciel also mentioned of the Legendary Patisserie which Ichika also wondered how she knew but Ichika isn't the brightest person this side of Precure.

I was expecting that Ciel will reveal her true form since Akira brought along Pekorin to the cooking session and by the way, where is Pekorin when the battle was going on? It looked like we might have to wait till next episode as the girls returned to the forest with Pekorin and Elder. Ciel seemed to tag along and we might find out who Ciel really is.

Time to get some pancakes!!

Until then, see you in the next post and to all those who are celebrating Hari Raya today! Selamat Hari Raya Aidi Fitri!

Looking at this list, some of you might have guess which show I most probably hype for and it is Marvel Future Avengers! Yes, it is a kids' show and yes, it is weird that everyone speak Japanese and has many anime tropes in it.

However I did reviewed Marvel Disk Wars Avengers a few years back and it is pretty good despite a rocky start. Using the same cast as Disk Wars, it is pretty decent and by the end, it is actually better than a lot of current Marvel series from the west, eg: Avengers Assemble.

Fate/Apocrypha which I have started reading the manga and so far, it is pretty hardcore with both sides having their own agenda and the servants themselves are pretty bad-ass. It also mark the first appearance of Ruler aka Joan of Arc in anime form and her reasons for her appearance intertwine the war.

The rest of the shows of course, I will have to watch it first before deciding what to follow after three episodes. What are the shows you are looking forward to? Leave your comments and see you in July!

Kira Kira Precure Ala Mode Ep 19 Review: Bonjour! Ciel is Here!

Let's Cooking! This is my review of Kira Kira Precure episode 19 and Kirahoshi Ciel make her appearance!

Before we start the review, Happy Birthday to Yukari as her birthday fall on 11th June! We also bid farewell to Batman '66 TV series Actor Adam West who played Batman/Bruce Wayne as he passed away at the age of 88 on 9th June 2017. Adam West was my first Batman when I grow up and he is still my top three actors to play Batman of all time. Farewell, Old Chum!

So how is this week's episode? I originally thought of Ciel as an arrogant person since genius type characters have that flaw in them but surprisingly, she came off as friendly and humble especially her first appearance at the market and later at her opening shop. Ciel also behave like a typical foreigner as she spurt out French and English words and was taken aback when Ichika wanted to become her apprentice.

Ciel offered Ichika to make a recipe that represent herself before allowing her to become her apprentice. But Ichika being Ichika tried to show off during the preparation and Ciel immediately failed her. However she got an inspiration from Ichika's dish and created a better dish which blow Ichika away. (Seriously, why don't Toei just follow Shougeki no Soma method of tasting food? But then the show will immediately end up in the midnight hours)

Ichika also realised that she and Ciel has a lot in common since she also want to use her food to spread love around the world. Of course, Bibury arrived to ruin everything and Ciel caught a glimpse of the Precures in action before knocked unconscious.

However I was a bit disappointed that because of the leaked information week before that Ciel is also a Spirit like Pekorin and in the beginning of the episode, she changed into her true form while searching the mystery forest.

But a bigger question is her connection with Julio as she was the person in his flashback. Ciel was even more interested of the Precure's appearance as we see in the next episode, Ciel and Ichika went to the mystery forest and they began to learn more of each other.

Until then, see you in two week for the next episode review!
