Brave10 Ep 4: I Hate Snakes!

Date Musamune received the news of Isanami returning to Izumo temple and planned to find out the secret of her power. Meanwhile, the trio has arrived at Izumo Temple and began to search around.

Here! Catch! Opps!?

Isanami was reminiscing the peaceful time before the attack and blamed herself for everyone demise. Saizo told her that nothing can be done for the dead and they must keep on living for those who have passed on.

After a while, Saizo noticed a strange floor pattern on the ground and suspected to be a trap door. Isanami unknowing unlocked the door and revealed an underground passage. They explored further and reached a dead end. There were some strange writings on the wall but none of them knew how to translate.

Suddenly Hattori and Oukatsu appeared and want to steal the hairband or "Fusigi Tama" on Isanami's head. She now remember the head priest gave it to her as a child and remind her not to remove it. She went into shock now knowing she indirectly cause everyone death. Saizo battled Hattori while Kakei is trapped in Oukatsu's snake wall.

Saizo was no match for Hattori and was badly injured. Kakei was immobilised by Oukatsu's jutsu and nearly got killed when suddenly Yuri distrupt the fight. He boasted that he will be the one to kill Saizo and got his hands defeated by Hattori.

Snake hold!!!

Kakei was able to move and broke away from Oukatsu. She used a grapple hold on him however Kakei fired a shot though his body and kill Oukatsu. Saizo and Yuri team up and finally defeated Hattori.

They went up to the surface and Isanami tend to their wounds. Suddenly Date arrived and abducted her away. He declared his name and flee, leaving the three warriors unable to move...

We get to see more of Isanami who showed a sad side of her. Being cheerful for the last three episodes, we know she bottled all her sadness inside and finally knowing that she indirectly caused the death of everyone in the temple. Saizo who has seen death countless times tried to console her (In a funny manner by throwing his hanky in her face!) but I know that he is trying to his best to make her feel better.

I don't think we see the last of Hattori (Come on, he is the best ninja in the Sengoku Era!) but now Date Musamune kidnapped Isanami, it looks like our heroes will have to enter Kyushuu to get her back based on the next episode.
  

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai Ep 3-Baby, don't cry no more.

Yuuta volunteered to take care of the girls despite the relatives objected it. The next day, the girls took their luggage and ran off with Yuuta. They took a train to the city and Yuuta suggested to have lunch. However the restaurants around were either too crowded or too expensive for him.

They finally settled at a Karaoke box to have a meal there. Yuuta's friend, Nimura saw them and mistaken him as a pedophile. He explained to Nimura his reasons and even encourage him to answer Yuuta's aunt who was on the line.

Nimura entertained the girls while Yuuta spoke to his aunt. She told him that the relatives are not going to chase the matter however he must know his limits and not to neglect his studies.

After lunch, Yuuta finally brought the girls to his place. They inspected the room and Sora use the toilet. Miu told her that there is no privacy which embarrassed her in front of Yuuta. After cleaning the place and making the room bigger, the girls took a bath together.

After the bath, they played some card games and Hina suddenly asked when her mother is coming back. Miu being upset, suddenly make up an excuse and left the house. Yuuta go after her as Sora hugged Hina tightly.

Yuuta saw Miu shedding a tear at the roadside. She apologize for running off like that and came back with him. The three girls slept together for the first time in Yuuta's home and even Sora shed a tear knowing that they are together for now...

I have both warm and sad thoughts after watching this episode. First, the trip back to Yuuta's place was pretty fun. Hina being the most lively was fun to watch her interact with everything like a real four year old girl will do. Singing songs, asking questions and even taking the food without asking. Then when she finally ask where their parents are coming back, that actually struck everyone like a bolt of lighting.

It's like a taboo to ask that question. I can understand that a four year old might not understand death especially the loss of a loved one. Especially trying to explain to her which most probably she will cry in despair. Sora, Miu and even Yuuta try not to hurt her but inside their heart, it is a terrible burden to bear. Like when Hina asked can they go back to their own home, it was pretty tough for them to explain to her.

Miu couldn't take it anymore and ran out of the house while Sora being the eldest, have to play double duty for Hina. She too wish all these isn't real but somehow or someday, Hina will know the truth.

This show can really poke people at the wrong points but I like it as it reminds of those 80s TV sitcoms where you can put humor and drama into one show and make it loved by everyone. I hope people who think this show rely on fan-service only should give it another chance and see underneath what this show can possibly accomplished.

Anyway, the next episode, the girls goes shopping together and buy necessities for their new home.

P.S. The reason why there was no privacy in Yuuta's toilet was the wall are too thin as such anyone could hear what the person is doing (eg: urinating or passing motion) I mean now Yuuta has three girls who are going through puberty and are very sensitive to certain female matters.

Brave10 Ep 3: Back to Izumo Temple

Yukimura recieved a report from another of his ten warriors-Kakei Juzou about Tokugawa searching the remains of the burn down Izumo Temple. They suspected that his fail abduction of Isanami could be connected to it. Yukimura suggested that Saizo is to escort Isanami back to the temple to find out more.

Isanami was happy to go with Saizo but was disappointed that Kakei was to accompany them too. They began their journey which Kakei disapprove Isanami's revealing clothes and her happy-go-lucky attitude. That night, Isanami want Saizo to sleep in the same tent which make Kakei even more annoyed about it.

The next day, they saw an "old lady" injured and offered to carry her across the bridge. But the old lady is revealed to be a bandit-Yuri Kamanosuke and kidnap Isanami. Saizo was trapped in a barrier of wind but Kakei managed to kill off some of Yuri's men with his rifle. Saizo broke free and battle Yuri. He then destroyed the bridge and Saizo fell into the river.

Yuri took Isanami away while Kakei found Saizo near the river bank. They quickly went to find Yuri at the same time, Sasuke decided to follow them behind after being teased by Ana.

Yuri planned to lure Saizo into a trap and tied Isanami onto a tree near a cliff. The two heroes found her which Saizo climbed all the way to the top. They began to battle each other which finally Saizo defeated him.

Yuri told Saizo that he showed no remorse and want him to end his life. However Isanami begged Saizo not to which he agreed. Yuri was angry and demanded Saizo to end his life. They left him behind with badly wounds.

Kakei has a different opinion of Isanami now and they continued their journey. Meanwhile Yukimura received a secret letter and ordered Rokuro to remember the contents and destroy the letter...

We are introduced to two new characters. First is Kakei Juzo who specialize in sniping and he is more rigid than Saizo. Although a traveller but the only thing he fear most as shown on the bridge is his fear of height! Really? A sniper who is afraid of heights? Is that possible? But he is also an easy person after seeing Isanami begging Saizo not to kill Yuri and comment her for her courage.

Yuri Kamosuke is a sadist as he love the thrill of battles and bloodshed. Of course after this battle, Yuri will probably want another match with Saizo and Yukimura will hired him as his ten warriors as shown in the opening. Yuri's choose of weapon is the Sickle and Chain which can create strong wind. He is also a jerk for beating up Isanami during her capture and he doesn't give a damn of her calling him a weird person.

So in the next episode, the group arrived at Izumo temple however Hanzo and the snake lady from episode 2 are back again. Also, the arrival of the One Eye Dragon warrior-Date Masamune!
