Space Battleship Yamato Live Action Movie Short Review

Here is my short review of Space Battleship Yamato the live action movie.

SRW OG S2 Ep 25-Real Men fight with Swords!

Mekiboss managed to escape from Irum and Ryoto and retreated to the White Star. Vindel and his men saw Wendolo in his Dikastes and were surrounded by the Einst. Wendolo fire at them and Vindel realised that Wendolo has already submitted to the Einst.

Mekiboss tried to question Wendolo and he replied that he was already influenced by the Einst when they first arrived and is only waiting for the chance to rise. Mekiboss attempted to kill him but failed. Wendolo then appeared outside the White Star with an army of Einst.

Our heroes battled Wendolo as the ATX team went to battle the Shadow Mirror who failed in their field escape and was transported outside the White Star. Masaki used Cyflash to destroy the Einst however Wendolo is still alive and tried to kill Masaki. Irum and Sangar arrived and slice off Diskastes's arms. SRX then deal the final blow and kill Wendolo.

Excellen battle Lemon and ask her who she really is. Lemon finally revealed after defeated by her. She is actually a clone created from the deceased Excellen of the alternative world. But she learned what is love and saw the possibility of Excellen and told Lamia to live her own life. Her mecha was destroyed after that.

Bullet defeated Vindel and he crashed into the White Star. Gillam ordered Bullet to help the others while he chased after Vindel. He confronted him and immediately rushed to an exposed System XN on Zweizergain's head.

Gilliam rebooted the System XN and planned to take the Einst and the White Star to another dimension. Vindel could not understand why. Gilliam explained it is to find his own world and to redeem for a girl that he met in another world.

The System XN began to teleport the White Star but at the same moment, a giant creature appeared and it was Stern Regisseur. It began to bind the Earth with red beams as our heroes watch in despair...

Wendolo was creepy as he appeared in his Einst form however the power of three giant houses took him down with ease. Gilliam's mention of the girl is probably the same one from Hero Senki. Even the music when he started the System XN is Hero Senki.

Now the head of the Einst has appeared! Can our heroes save the universe and will we see Gilliam again? Also, if they followed the game scenario, there is one more secret enemy they have to battle! See you next week for the final conclusion!

Infinite Stratos Ep 11-Houki is a "M" type?!

Ichika and Houki summoned their IS in the beach. Chifuyu informed Ichika in a private channel to look out for Houki as she might do something reckless. Ichika then held onto Houki and they blast through the sky at high speed.

They saw the Silvero Gospel now codenamed "Gospel" close by. Ichika tried to destroy it with one strike however Gospel discovered them and attack them back. Houki tried to hold it's movement while Ichika go for the kill. But Ichika saw an illegal ship in the area. He defended the ship but Houki told him to ignore them as they are criminals.

Ichika suddenly shouted back at Houki, telling her not to lose sight of the weak, despite having such powers. Houki realised her recklessness when suddenly Gospel fire at her. Ichika shielded her and got shot down. Houki's hair ribbons were also burnt in the process as she saved Ichika.

A rescue team led by Chifuyu found Ichika and Houki. Ichika was in a coma and the rest of the girls were worried for him. They felt that Chifuyu was concerned with the mission than Ichika.

Meanwhile, Houki remembered in the past of Ichika defending her at school and commented of looking good in wearing a hair ribbon.

Houki went to the beach where she was confronted by Rin. She slap Houki to get back her senses. Together with the rest of the girls, they decided to battle Gospel.

Thanks to the help of Laura's IS, they found Gospel and went to battle it as Chifuyu saw them in the operation room...

Why I saw Houki is a "M" type? Basically her behaviour is similar to Saeko of High School of the Dead who take pleasure in beating up people. Houki is really lucky to have Ichika as a friend and he really have guts to beat up the bullies which wow Houki's heart. Anyway the next episode might be the last episode, so  will we get to see a season 2? Find out next week for the conclusion! 

SRW OG S2 Ep 24-Are we too late for a new opening?

The crew were having a big feast on board the Kurogane before the final battle with the Inspectors. They immediately sortie out when they are closing by the White Star. Meanwhile, the Inspectors are fighting the Einst while the Shadow Mirror are watching at the sidelines.

The Inspectors fire their primary weapon-Diaus. A cannon that used reflector mirrors to create multiple laser death traps. The SRX and ATX team took off, each taking down one of the Inspectors.

Irum, Ryoto, Rio and the School pilots battle Mekiboss and he retreated. The ATX battle Sikalog with Kyosuke dealing the final blow, killing him.

Agulia saw her lover die went crazy and fire the Diaus at everyone, damaging the Kurogane.

Masaki, Ryune and Ibis take on Agulia which Masaki killed her with Akashic Buster.

Vigaji was left alone and want to fire the Diaus when suddenly Shu in his Granzon arrived, destroyed the Diaus and Vigaji. Axel decided to sortie out and Lemon ordered W16-Echinda to protect Axel.

Kyosuke and Axel battle out and Kyosuke managed to damage him. Lamia tried to stab Axel when suddenly Echinda got caught in the way and suffered mortal wounds. Echinda told Axel to live on and she exploded in deep space..

Wow, this is an intense episode and with three of the Inspectors down and leaving Mekiboss and Wendolo behind, it is still far from over. But it was still great to hear Dark Prism which is Shu's theme and his appearance won me! Now with two episodes left, can our heroes do anything?! (Oh yes, why the 2nd Opening come so late?)

Spring Anime 2011

Here we are again for another season of Anime coming out from April onwards! However the official launch of the new shows are not 100% confirmed as there is a chance that it might be pushed to a later date. Anyway let's get started and see what we have for this season!

30 Sai no Hoken Taiiku: If you like B Cup H Kei, then you will like this similar story about a 30 year old Virgin man who got help from a love spirit and trying all ways just to break his "cherry!"

A-Channel: Based on the 4-Koma manga, it is the story of 4 girls with weird personalities, if you like slice of life anime, then this is it.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai: A coming to age story of 5 friends who meet again in the same school years later. Prepare for tissues!

Ao no Exorcist: Taking over from Star Driver's time slot, Okumaru Rin found out he is the son of Satan and a human woman. After his guardian died, every exorcist is trying to kill him. Rin took upon himself and train to be an Exorcist so as to redeem himself.

Appleseed XIII: If you like the CG movies and the 80s anime version, get ready for an update of the hit series which is the retelling of Appleseed.

Hidan no Aria: Tooyama Kinji was enrolled into a special high school that trained criminal investigators and he met Kanzaki H. Aria, a young girl who used dual pistols who is the top detective in the Assault Unit.

Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san: If you like Level E's crazy humor, this one for you!

Bakugan Battle Brawlers Gundalian Invaders: After two seasons, I still don't understand the rules!

C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control: If you like the Movie "Wall Street" and the Hong Kong Drama Series "The Greed of Man", you will like this show about Finance and Stock Markets.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko: A girl named Touwa Erio claimed that Earth is being targeted by aliens and her cousin, Niwa Makoto soon discovered that Erio has amnesia for a year and was found wandering in the ocean. Remind me of some X-Files episode that I watch before...

Dog Days: From the people who gave you Mahou Shoujou Lyrical Nanoha Series, Princess Millhiore summoned a legendary hero to help her battle the Lion Domain of Garrett. She got Izumi Shinku, a middle school student who love circus action and very athletic to help her. Didn't I see this from Zero no Tsukaima?

Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera: From Go Nagai, the guy who gave you Mazinger Z, Devilman and Cutey Honey come another remake of his classic series. Expect over the top characters and nudity included.

Deadman Wonderland: Ganta was framed for the massacre of his classmates and sentenced to a prison called Deadman Wonderland which the killer known as the "Red Man" is in too. Ganta now began a fight for his survival in the madhouse.

Fireball Charming: Not sure what is it but I swore that character is from the Figma Series.

Gintama: The continuation of the next season. For those who are not sure, it is about Aliens who co-exist with human in Japan during the Edo Era. Gintoki who is a former samurai now doing odd jobs with his sidekicks, Shinpachi and Kagura. This show also have many parodies and pop culture reference which I laugh alot back then.

Hanasaku Iroha: A heartbroken Matsumae Ohana  left the city life to stay with her grandmother's Taisho Era Spring Inn. She meet several staff members of the Inn to begin her life as a waitress in this self-discovery series.

Hen Zemi: Matsutaka Nanako join in a strange club called Hen Zemi after having a crush on a guy, Musashi Komugi. However the club is filled with weirdos and their club make reports of perverted actions like urinating and masturbating. If you like MM and Seitoka Yakuindomo's perverted jokes then this show is for you.

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi: If you remember Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saku, then this is the next chapter from the same Ero game maker, Fong. Hoshino Kazuma who is suffering from an illness went to the countryside to recover. He lost his way and meet a girl, Nakatsugawa Ui and by accident, kiss her while being discovered by Ui's close friend, Hinata. Somehow, this all look too familiar...

 
Jewelpet Sunshine: Somehow I have no idea about this show other than it is based the Jewel Pet toyline in Japan.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai II: Translate to "The World God Only Knows" After the first season ended three months ago, I went to buy the manga and enjoy it alot! Basically Kamiya or Kami Sama had a contract with a cute demon girl named Elsie and his mission is to find evil spirits who are in girls' heart. Using his knowledge of Bishoujou games, he try to apply it to the real world with hilarious and unexpected results. Now with new character, Haqua. a fellow demon girl, Kamiya will continue to do what he do best as the world god only knows.

Lotte no Omocha!: Astarotte Ygvar, a young succubus began her plan of a harem as she need the semen of men to survive. However her first male was a butler named Touhara Naoya who is a respectable single father with a ten year old daughter.

Maria Holic Alive: The sequel to the first one two years ago. The pervert skirt dressing, Shindou Mariya continue her torment on fellow room mate, Miyamae Kanako who has a fear of men and will break rashes if in contact.

Metal Fight Beyblade 4D: For hardcore beyblade fans only!

Nichijou: If you like slice of life comedy like Azumanga Daioh, you will enjoy this and episode zero is already out somewhere...

Ore-tachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai: From Navel, the people who brought Shuffle, come another love story in which three group of people's lives were intertwined in the city. If you love Kimikiss or Amagami, get ready for some complicated relationships.

Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream: Based on the dancing arcade game of the same name which Harune Aira begin her career as an Super Idol and compete with fellow Idols. Expected a lot of bitching around like America's Next Top Model.

Seikon no Qwaser II: When the first season was out, the response was WTF!? Sucking girls breast milk to gain power is really a perverted way which probably exist in Hentai Animes. However it is based on the Virgin Mary feeding breast milk to an infant Jesus. The story continue from where the last season end as Qwaser went undercover as a female student in an all girls school. Watch the uncensored version if you can as the censored one is really unwatchable.

Sengoku Otome ~Momoiro Paradox~: If you like how Japan mix Moe with historical characters then this is for you. Based on the pachinko game of the same name. Famous characters like Oda Nobunaga and Akechi Mitsuhide are female characters and a present day girl named  Hide Yoshino came to their time to take the role of Toyotomi Hideyoshio.

SKET DANCE: From Shouen Jump and won Shogakukan Manga Award 2009, it trailed  Fujisaki Yusuke, a.k.a. Bossun and his friends as they go about helping fellow students and in conflict with the school council.

Softenni: If you add Prince of Tennis and Bamboo Blade, this is the results! An all female team of Tennis Players who want to work their way to the Nationals!

STEINS;GATE: Spin off from Chaos Head, this story take place in Akihabara. Okabe Rintarou created a microwave signal that can send messages to the past. However a mysterious organisation named SERN want his creation and thus began the cat and mouse game.

TIGER & BUNNY: From Sunrise come an original story about Wanna Be Superheroes trying to do good in the city. (If I want that, I read the Watchmen.)

Toriko: When I read the manga, the first thing that came in my head was Monster Hunter on Steroids. From Shouen Jump, come Toriko, a gourmet hunter who hunt outrageous creatures and cook them for food! If you like cooking shows like "Mr Aijiko" and playing Monster Hunter, get ready for Hell's Kitchen.

X-Men: After Wolverine, why not follow up with X-Men? Not only that, the team which comprises of Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm and Beast are in Japan searching for missing fellow mutant "Armor" and battling a cult known as U-Men. Do you think too many X-Men is bad for you?

Yu-Gi-Oh ZEXAL: Seriously, how many spin-off of Yu-Gi-Oh do they want to make anyway?

There are some shows that I didn't mention like BL anime Sekai Ichi no Hatsukoi, Gambling Anime, Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji Hakairoku-hen which is not my cup of tea.

Well, what will  it be for this season? X-Men look ok, Dog Days despite having a similar story like Zero no Tsukaima but I will watch it as Horie Yui and Miyano Mamoru are playing the main leads. The World God only Knows is a YES for me. Ao no Exorcist looks promising with two of my favourite male seiyuus, Okamoto Nobuhiko and Fukuyama Jun in it. The rest of the shows will be a "Watch for the first three episodes" then confirm.

Moshidora: Kawashima Minami help her friend, Miyata Yuuki who is sick to manage the male's baseball team in her school. However the baseball team is a weak team until Minami found a management book wrote by real life Socialist Peter Drucker and used his teachings to turn the team around!
