Tropical Rouge Precure Ep 8 Review: Never Fight with an Empty Stomach!

Hi, Everyone! This is my review of Tropical Rouge Precure Episode 8 and the girls decided to make some Bento lunches for their club activity!

I felt this episode focus on Manatsu and how she appreciates her mother who woke up early to prepare her lunch boxes as in this episode, her mother mistakenly took the wrong lunch boxes leaving Manatsu with two boxes of plain rice.

Her friends gave some food to share with Manatsu and only Asuka's food tastes delicious. They then decided to make some lunch boxes for their club activity with the theme of Kururu Bento. Of course, Hijicks follows with Minori and Laura trying to crack some eggs with little success and the girls trying to hide Laura from their form teacher.

Chongire who has problems trying to keep the Queen's meals fresh went to the city and create a Yaranade from an Ice cone making machine. The girls will about to have their lunches when they saw the Yaranade sucking the motivation of people. The girls transformed but realised they are too hungry to fight. (Actually, their groaning stomach gave away their position)

The girls then managed to use the Yaranade's own weapon against it and freeze on it on the spot. The girls immediately ate some food from their Bento and came back with enough strength to purify the Yaranade.

Everything went back to normal which even Chongire decided to freeze the Queen's meals to keep them fresh. The girls finally have their meals although Minori was a bit hesitant to eat the Kururu shaped rice which even Kururu was staring at them.

Manatsu also cooks dinner later at night and her mother was surprised to see the nice spread on the table. Manatsu thanks her mother for all the hard work and they both have dinner together...

Similar to the previous episode, I felt the girls are just experiencing their day to day club activities and their fight against the Chongire is more of a hindrance than an actual threat which makes me worried that this season might not be ideal to certain viewers who want more plot development like Healin' Good Precure.

Although I like the Hijicks in the kitchen by the girls it is expected since only Asuka is the only one with real cooking experiences. Even Chongire is just reluctant to go out to the surface but unexpectedly had an idea to keep the Queen's meals fresh which is odd for a Precure villain. But then we have weirder villains motivation from previous seasons example: Smile Precure. That I am worried that this season might be Smile Precure 2.0 but at least Team Smile is very funny but Team Tropical Rouge isn't.

Next episode, a celebrity is using the girls' school for filming which I am not really keen on doing another review unless something major happened in the next episode. I will see how it goes when it airs next Sunday. Until then, stay safe and see you in the next post!
